This was the most incredible stay in the Duoro valley. We absolutely loved being at the Quinta and exploring the property hiking around. We booked the wine tasting and picnic directly through their website (must be done this way) and they were both wonderful experiences. The staff is exceptional. The pictures we are leaving with almost look fake they are so beautiful.

This was the most memorable and beautiful lodging of our entire 3 wk Portugal stay! The Quinta is beautiful in every way and the staff could not be more accommodating. The view of the Duoro Valley and river is magnificent, pictures don’t do it justice. there is a stunning infinity pool and breathtaking views everywhere! The rooms are small but stylish and lovely with outdoor seating. Great Restaurant , wine tasting and boat tour (for extra charges) Don’t hesitate to book this stay. We hope to return someday.

Ventozelo Hotel and Quinta was hands down one of our favorite stays we have ever had - and we travel a lot. The views and property are absolutely stunning and we lived every minute of our stay. The restaurant and service were top notch, and aside from one snooty gentleman at the store/activities the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

A Douro Valley Delight

This is my second time staying at the property and it was the same magical experience. This time around I just wanted to relax and enjoy the property. And that I did! I spent my days enjoying the trails, in enjoying the multiple fireplaces on the property. And of course the dinner. The food wine and port made for an unforgettable stay.

Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta is a magical place. We had an incredible time there. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. The staff at the resort are incredibly welcoming and hospitable. This is a great place to stay. Excellent services from front desk to restaurant. The food is exciting and excellent and I love the exchange we had in the restaurant. We were well taken care of. Shout outs to: Ignes - manager Leonal - chef Telmo Alfonso - evening shift waiter Jaime - morning shift waiter Tanya - manager One thing for the estate to note: The central air-conditioning needs work. The room can get quite warm which requires one door to be kept opened.

We were very disappointed that our room was not facing the river which was the attraction. I think the hotel needs to make that clear when they book the rooms. I didn't drive all that way to have coffee looking at orange trees. However, with that said, let me tell you the positive side. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, and the grounds are lovely. Bar staff understands wine. But whoever told them that lime ruins a good gin and tonic is nuts. lol
