Bright suite with a view of Cerro Santa Lucía, one block from the Santiago Metro
Apartment for 4 people near the Santa Lucía Metro station. Ideal for tourism, extended stays, and remote work. Master bedroom with en suite bathroom, cable TV, premium bed, desk/bedroom with Wi-Fi, and a sofa bed for an extra guest; premium 2-seater sofa bed in the living room. Air conditioning, double-pane windows, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large refrigerator, and washing machine. Self-check-in, digital lock, 24-hour concierge, balcony screen, just steps from pharmacies, supermarkets, and health centers. You’ll enjoy clean, bright spaces equipped for both short- and long-term stays. Premium accommodation. International-standard comfort with air conditioning, excellent thermal and acoustic insulation with double-pane windows, balcony safety netting, and two full bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with new kitchenware and a large-capacity refrigerator, plus a laundry station for long-term stays. Unobstructed view of Santa Lucía Hill, just one block from Metro Line 1. You’ll find supermarkets, pharmacies, and cafes just around the corner. Your apartment is just one block from the station that connects you to the entire Line 1, the backbone linking eastern and western Santiago. It is the capital’s most important and oldest Metro line and connects to the best-stocked and most entertaining shopping centers in the eastern sector, both located at Tobalaba Station: Costanera Centre, one of the top 5 shopping centers in Latin America, and the MUT, Chile’s first urban market. From your apartment, you can walk to the main museums and historic areas in city centre Santiago. All the main attractions are just across the Alameda, via the underground passage at the Santa Lucía Metro station that connects the two sides of the avenue. You’ll have Cerro Santa Lucía right in the centre of your living room, *the moment you open the door. It’s a must-see for its architectural landscaping and panoramic views of city centre. From your balcony, you’ll see the Terraza de Neptuno, a double-staircase structure with a small temple and a fountain on the upper level. Enter there and begin your journey towards the summit’s lookout points. A little further south is the National Library, an imposing neoclassical building just a few blocks from Cerro Santa Lucía on Alameda Avenue itself. It’s ideal for architectural photos; you can enter the reading rooms and check out a book just to experience the century-old atmosphere of its facilities. The Lastarria area is about a 10-minute walk or one metro stop away. It’s the neighborhood’s cultural and gastronomic hub par excellence, featuring a small cinema, El Biógrafo, the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Centre—one of the largest in Santiago—and great spots to sample Chilean wines, such as the Boca Nariz restaurant; lively bars like El Bajo or La Virgen; the well-stocked Ulises Bookshop, where you can find Chilean literature; trendy shops in the Lastarria Gallery, among many other attractions. In the Lastarria area, you can also enjoy one of the shops with the best ice cream in Santiago: Emporio La Rosa. There are two locations in the same area—one across from Patio Lastarria and another on the edge of Forestal Park—where you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere at outdoor tables. Right in the heart of Parque Forestal is the National Museum of Fine Arts, which exhibits collections by the most prominent Chilean artists in our history, as well as travelling exhibitions. Surrounding the Government Palace, two Metro stops away at La Moneda Station, lies Santiago’s administrative centre. In the Nueva York area, renowned for its architectural significance, stands the Stock Exchange building, next to La Moneda stands the beautiful historic building of the Santiago Provincial Government, and just one block away is the Central Bank building—an imposing structure that houses the Numismatic Museum, which displays a collection spanning 500 years of Chilean banknotes and coins. One of the most popular attractions is the changing of the guard by the Carabineros who guard the Government Palace. After your tour, you can have lunch at another historic bar in city centre Santiago, La Unión Chica, where I recommend trying the sandwiches, the Madrid-style tripe, or the pork rolls with potatoes if you’re in the mood for hearty dishes.
