"Everything was fantastic, except when we arrived to check in, the owner was not there, the inn was closed. We thought we were scammed for an inn to be closed around 5pm. We drove around, waited for 20min, asked people at a lottery shop across the street, then the owner finally came back and opened the door for us. it turned out he went to pick up kids from school…."

"Andrew’s home is a once-in-a-lifetime stay. The views are even more breathtaking than the photos convey, and my family loved sitting outside in the mornings watching the birds flit over the balcony. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need, from cookware to beach supplies. Each bedroom having its own en suite bathroom was a plus.Although the house feels remote (in the best way), it’s easy to access stunning beaches and good food. We loved Kofi Howz up by Shete Boka, Jaanchie’s, Best Smoothies in Curaçao, and sunset dinner at Landhuis Klein Santa Martha. Definitely load up on groceries before heading to the house, though. :) The ‘backyard’ snorkeling is amazing but best attempted by strong swimmers. (Getting in and out of the water is tricky, and the current can be strong.) That said, there is wonderful, easily accessible snorkeling at many nearby beaches!If you’re looking for rugged, wild beauty and a true getaway, don’t hesitate to book! "

"Beautiful property! Very quiet spot, nice pool for a lazy day or night swim. Femmie and Frank are excellent hosts. Easy correspondence and Lots of information before arrival was appreciated. Location is great for the beaches just 15 minutes to 6 different beaches for snorkelling and different food options! Willemstad is only 30 minutes.We will return for sure!"

"We booked a long-term stay for December 2025 through January 2026 for our wedding, honeymoon, and winter break. On December 30, 2025, housekeeping entered our cottage and left the door open. Our dog escaped during this time. We were not notified for approximately two hours. The property owner did not contact us directly or provide an incident report. Our dog, Pax, has been missing since that date. As of writing this review, it has been 34 days. The property also had multiple maintenance issues during our stay, including power outages, septic odors, flooding in the shower, malfunctioning air conditioning, and excessive noise at night. The accommodations did not match the listing photos. Future guests should be aware of these issues, particularly those traveling with pets."

"Vista Mar is an incredible place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The house is set up on the cliff side with spectacular views on every side. There is snorkeling acess a short walk down a path leading to steps down to the water. Nice spot to get in without dealing with sand. Also a very nice reef area where we spotted all kinds of fish, eels, and one member even spotted an octopus. The pool was very nice and the kids played for hours every day in it. We love that you get to rent the whole house which really has 3 apartments, and dont have to share a common are with other vacationers! It was perfect for our large group with 2 large families.The house is Incredibly spacious and very comfortable. The key to keeping the main living are comfortable is to just leave the sliding doors open and let the tradewinds breeze through. The house is off the beaten path and is a fair drive from Williemstad. We prefer that as its away from all the crowds. The neighborhood is very small and quiet. You do drive right through the construction site for the new hotel to get there which feels a little odd the first time. The construction did not affect our stay at all though. We had some issues with our flights due to the military operations in Venezuela and Galo (owner) was Incredibly helpful and worked with us to save our trip. Netty was very friendly and welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know for our stay. Thanks!!!"

"Great spot. Really enjoyed the home. I’d fix the dishwasher so it does not tip over when the racks are out. Minor thing But we were very happy in this home. Quiet side of the island. We would return. "
