Avoid Taganga

Do not stay in Taganga. I am currently here and this is the most miserable night of all my travels. Taganga used to be a quiet fishing village, now full of drugs, prostitutes, and loud parties. At 2am on a Monday night, a super loud party just started next to this hotel. Music so loud is vibrating the hotel. Suspect a gang and prostitutes. I just want a taxi to get out of Taganga but I would be afraid to go outside. There are much nicer places to stay in Colombia. I don't recommend Taganga.

The roof top is beauitful, it was a quite setting overal and away from the heavy traffic. Staff was wonderful and very accomodating. They are enviormentally aware and try to make a difference.

It was away from the busy street so it was quiet. A simple breakfast was included. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When they found out I liked hot sauce with my eggs, they bought it for the next day's breakfast. The view from the terrace was great. Liked the Native theme.

Descriptif de l’hôtel totalement mensonger

Descriptif de l’hôtel totalement mensonger. Nous avons choisi cet hôtel car, se situant dans le descriptif à 13 min de marche du parc Tayrona et en réalité il se trouve à plus d’une heure en voiture ( taxi, très coûteux vue l’éloignement de l’entrée du parc Tayrona). L’hôtel oblige d’office à utiliser un tour opérateur imposé par l’hôtel, car d’après la personne qui nous a reçu « il est impossible de visiter le parc sans guide ». La rue de l’hôtel est très difficile d’accès en voiture, car c’est une piste caillouteuse en forte pente, impossible de se déplacer à pied avec des valises. Le quartier de l’hôtel ressemble à une favéla. A la porte il n’y a pas de sonnette, personne pour vous accueillir, pas de réception. Nous avons annulée la réservation de l’hôtel sur place à 9:30 le 14 août, car les conditions ne correspondaient pas du tout à l’annonce sur votre site et nous vous demandons le remboursement (non facturation) de la nuitée du 14 non effectuée dans ce lieu.

Excelente hotel y atención. Volvería!

Es un excelente hotel, muy limpio, buenas instalaciones, el personal muy atento. Está ubicado a unas 4 cuadras de la playa. Las calles de Taganga en general no son muy buenas, por lo tanto no califico la zona como excelente;sin embargo esto para nosotros no fue un impedimento para disfrutar nuestra estadía. Lo súper recomiendo

Schöne Zimmer, Lage weniger gut, unzuverlässig

Das erste Zimmer (im Erdgeschoss) war sehr laut und ohne Fenster, freundlicherweise wurde mir dann aber auf meine Anfrage hin ein ruhigeres Zimmer in der ersten Etage gegeben. Das Hotel an sich ist schön und auch die Zimmer, allerdings ist die Lage nicht ganz optimal (es liegt etwas entlegen, und auf der Straße gibt es viele streunende Hunde, wovon mich abends auch mal einer angefallen hat). Ich hatte mehrere Nächte in diesem Hotel eingeplant, da es aber relativ teuer ist und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis aus meiner Sicht überhaupt nicht passt, bin ich dann in ein schönes Zimmer in einem Hostel in bester Lage und zu einem Drittel des Preises gewechselt. Am ärgerlichsten am Hotel Hotel Ki' Kuxtah fand ich allerdings, dass es - anders als proklamiert wird - keinen verlässlichen 24-Stunden Service der Rezeption gibt. An einem Abend hatte ich nach 22 Uhr über die Rezeption ein Taxi bestellen wollen, dort war aber niemand, nur ein Schild an der Tür mit der Aufschrift "Komme in 15 Minuten wieder" - gekommen ist aber die ganze Nacht niemand mehr. Dies halte ich für sehr bedenklich, denn z.B. für den Fall eines Notfalles halte ich es schon für sehr wichtig, dass stets zumindest ein Mitarbeiter im Hotel anzutreffen ist!

Taganga Vs. Kikuxtah

El hotel esta en buenas condicones, Costo Vs. Beneficio esta acorde, el sitio no concuerda con la presentación, y lo mas importante. a los futuros visitantes: Llegar a Taganga y tomar un taxi desde alli al hotel. Tuve la mala experiencia: tomé taxi desde Santa Marta y él taxista me desembarcó en la esquina donde había un rótulo del Hotel KIKUXTAH, esto fue tres cuadras abajo y caminar con maletas en calles empolvadas donde nadie te da razón del hotel, a 32ºC de calor fue desesperante especialmente para mi esposa.

Bonito hotel

El servicio es muy bueno todo el personal es muy amable y el hotel se encuentra limpio con buenas condiciones y mantenimiento. Se encuentra cerca de la playa (12 min) aunque se debe de andar por caminos de terracería entre piedras y polvo. La playa en Taganga no es muy bonita por lo que es necesario tomar una lancha o un bus para ir al Tyrona.

There is only two bad things we have to comment about the hotel ; the open road that leads to the hotel is a problem because no taxi would drive you there and the hotel is far from town so as a result if you want to stay in town late is impossible to find a ride there. So if you just want to go and stay at the hotel which is close to the beach this will be a good place for you; quiet, clean and very small.

A hotel based on colombian natives cultures

This was a good surprise in a small town like Taganga!! The hotel has all the facilities and a lovely waitress attending you on the roof top terrace with a great view. Although, not in the center and some may say difficult to access - no proper concrete road - being there was a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Schönes, sauberes Hotel mit gutem Service

Sehr schöne Dachterasse, gutes Frühstück, guter Service und sauberes Hotel. Die Strassen zum Hotel sind vom Regen ausgewaschen und der Anstieg ist beschwerlich. Aber für einen Blick von der Dachterasse lohnen sich diese Anstrengungn. Kleiner Nachteil ist, dass das Waschbecken nicht im Badezimmer ist.
