"Pro: Pet friendly, easy check in, good communication with host, short (but steep) walk to beach, large spacious apartment, hot water, friendly staff, snorkel gear available, equipped kitchenCons: Dark and dank apartment with a weird odor. My eyes were red and itchy and stuffed up from being inside of it. I left half way thru my stay to a new hotel with a pool"

"Not great communication prior to arrival. We would be arriving late from our flight and taxi. I contacted three days prior as the travel day would be difficult to send or receive messages. No response until the day of. We struggled in the middle of the night to find the place then to find which door was the entrance. Nothing clearly marked. It added a level of frustration to the start of our trip that could have been avoided. The place was OK. The pictures were much nicer. "

"Five stars without hesitation. This beachfront hotel was the perfect place to experience everything that makes Zipolite special.
The location is incredible. You step out and you are right on the beach with sweeping ocean views and some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable. Even just walking through the small streets nearby feels magical, with colorful murals, flowers everywhere, and the relaxed energy that Zipolite is known for.
The atmosphere at the hotel is peaceful, welcoming, and perfectly in tune with the town. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to the ocean breeze each morning was unforgettable. It felt like a true escape.
The staff were fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived and were always happy to help with anything we needed.
Another highlight is how easy everything is to reach on foot. Great restaurants, beach bars, and shops are all just a short walk away, making it effortless to explore and enjoy the town day and night.
If you are looking for a laid back beachfront stay with incredible views, authentic local charm, and the unique spirit that makes Zipolite so special, this place is a gem. We would absolutely stay here again."
"We came to Casa Yati for 8 days from the Huatulco airport by taxi- approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is on an isolated stretch of the beach Playa Ventanilla in a local hamlet with a few houses, tourist shops and very rustic eateries. Casa Yati is a gorgeous 8 room property with a beautiful pool, very adequate restaurant ( on the expensive side), endless beach but surf too big to swim. It is very quiet and a really nice place to chill. There are some bookable activities but we were able to do yoga ourselves in the hillside palapa. Rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. Staff were lovely. Water was provided and beach towels. There were beds and umbrellas on the sand as well as poolside beds. The highlights were releasing baby turtles into the ocean and visiting the crocodile filled lagoon. We took a taxi or collectivo into Mazunte for dining, beach days and whale watching excursions. It is a more lively place to hang out for the day and swim without current."
"First impressions of Casa Qi we're positive, the staff, Bruno, got us in a room quickly. He showed us the fridge area (for leftovers we brought back from the restaurants in the area and a place to cook them) and coffee area and the area for beverages. Jaun and another young fellow were available to take us into town in a very luxurious golf cart. they gave us a to car. The next few days we went out exploring the area. Driving to a different beach every day. Omar had made some suggestions that were positive. We met Liz, one of the owners, she had many ideas of where to go that were good. The pool was nice and warm and the areas to sit around it we're good. I would have to say if there was a downfall or a lack of anything it would have been there was no safe in our room and there could've been a little more place to hang clothing. Hot water would've been nice. Small things overall.
Mazunte and Casa Qi we're both great places."
"Forget sleeping if you get a sea view room. There are nightclubs up and down the strip and one open air club across the street that BLASTED music right to 3:30 am!!! It was a nightmare. As well, we had some drunken neighbor in the room beside us who passed out on the patio with his own speaker playing. In the pool were a bunch of men who had been there for what looked like hours drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. As the pool is quite small we decided not to go in as it was extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately we had to leave a night early even though we paid for the room because we just couldn't take anymore. Neither one of us had more than about 4 hours sleep each night it was really terrible because the room was actually quite lovely and the staff are really nice but they should never put people our age in a room that face the street with the nightclubs like that. What a shame."
"The room and view were perfect and the beach area and infinity pool were divine. The only issue is that there were mosquitoes in our room -- the balcony door had several inches gap at the bottom (did not close tightly) allowing plenty of rooms for bugs to enter. I was bitten up quite a lot both nights which was not pleasant. And these were the only bites I got at all on the trip - so it was annoying that the most expensive place I stayed was the only one with bugs. But otherwise the hotel is superb. "
"We could see the ocean, but, you could not swim from this beach. Undertow was very strong. This was just a hotel room, it could have been better with a mini fridge and coffee maker. The room was cleaned daily"
"We were fortunate enough to stay in the presidential suite and also in one of the rooms with the terrace that had fabulous views. The staff was excellent, specially Primi, Kevin and Max. They made us feel at home."
