"The Hotel Ballena Ray is a gem. While the overall vibe is laid back, the rooms are perfect for a long stay with kitchenette and other basic amenities. The breakfast is especially wonderful as is the staff. And the pool, though small, is wonderful and has a bar open in the late afternoon and evening. You can swim until 9PM, which is a nice bonus after a long day exploring the surrounding areas of Uvita, Ballena Marine National Park (5 minute walk from the property) and the surrounding areas....

"The property description was accurate and looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean & had all the amenities we needed. The property was well kept & the pool was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay, this house was a little piece of paradise, very private with an amazing view of the whales tail. Sophia was great at communicating the entire time with us. I would highly recommend this property to anyone & hope to revisit someday."

"Our stay at MadreSelva was amazing. We were a bit nervous about having Carolina and Rume around the house during the week but they took care of the house and grounds beautifully and discreetly. We hardly knew the were there and yet took care of our breakfast and did light housekeeping and laundry during the week. It made our trip that much more pleasurable.All the previous homes we've stayed in provided A/C in the bedrooms of which we were hoping for; however, the two front bedrooms definitely did not need A/C. The back bedrooms didn't get the same air flow but there were portable fans in the rooms to help keep the air flowing.Overall, I would give this home a 5-star rating. There was plenty of space for our party of 10 people so we could spread out. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The bedrooms had comfortable beds (I would suggest replacing some or all of the pillows as they were quite flat), and overall comfortable living areas indoors and outdoors. The view was incredible and the house is quite secluded which is a huge plus! We would definitely stay at this home again!"
