Situated in between the beautiful village of Alverstone and nearby Apse Heath; with its convenience store, is this modern detached 3 bedroom holiday home that can sleep up to 7 guests in the main house and 2 guests in the adjoining annexe. The accommodation offers a modern furnished lounge with two sofa's and French doors leading to the conservatory and enclosed garden/patio area, fully fitted kitchen, dining room, master bedroom with super king size bed and en-suite shower room, double bedroom, single bedroom, family bathroom.

The adjoining annexe has open plan lounge/kitchen/dining with double bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

Hill Cottage benefits of a lovely enclosed garden and patio with garden furniture and off road parking for 3 cars.

Borthwood Copse is owned by the national trust and is opposite the cottage enjoy a lovely stroll around delightful ancient oak and beech trees, sunny glades and chestnut and hazel coppice. You may also be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a red squirrels as they scurry through the trees.

The local village shop is nearby and a short drive will take you in to the towns of Shanklin and Sandown where you will find a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Sandy beaches can be also be found in Sandown and Shanklin. If you don't want to take your car there is a local bus service and the bus stop is just outside Hill Cottage.

This cottage is ideal for family holidays as well as a lovely relaxing break on the Island.

lovely spacious home
Spacious accommodation for a family of 8.Good off-road parking for 3 cars. A few minor points were dealt with immediately on first day.I would certainly recommend this property.

Nicely furnished but needs attention
Property is spacious and nicely furnished and in a good location. However, the kitchen is not adequatley equipped for the number of guests. Not enough crockery, oven trays or chopping boards to protect surfaces. Property also needs a good tidy up outside, windows and patio furniture needs washing down and empty tubs and dead plants removed. The annexe was nicely furnished but the outside needed attention. Would have been nice to have had a Welcome folder in the house with all details of the property, how appliances work, re-cycling rules etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would have liked the property to have been better equipped in the kitchen and we would have made more use of the outside areas if they had been better attended.
