Casa Contrada: Secluded Beach House in Oaxaca with Private Beach

Casa Contrada is a rustic chic jungle cliff house located on remote La Boquilla Bay on the scenic Costa Chica of the Southern Mexican state of Oaxaca. The house rests on a 2.4 acre bluff between two small, remote beaches, rocky Playa del Sol, and lovely, swimmable Playa del Muerto (to which we have a primitive stairway). The rest of our 300 meter shoreline is rocky, and spectaculary beautiful, offerin 280* vistas of larger La Boquilla beach and other surrounding beaches.


Situated to maximize views of the spectacular shoreline, this custom designed, open plan, 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home rests on 1.4 hectareas (3 1/2 acres) high above 300 meters of private Pacific ocean front, on Oaxaca’s beautiful Costa Chica. Cooled by ocean breezes and tropical fans the house is extraordinarily open, but fully screened. The entrance level ‘social floor’ features a gourmet kitchen, banquette dining area , large sala, (living room), open terrace and cantilevered palm-thatched porch, 1/2 bath and pantry. The lower level features two very private bedroom/bath suites with ample balconies for private relaxing. This floor also include the laundry, utility room and storage
