"I will return as I found the accommodations delightful. Rustic in a good way. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes and places you in the center of Playa Zipolite. The main street with restaurants is also about a 5 minute walk. The owner and staff are very welcoming and helpful."

"I arrived at check-in and was confused that the ‘exclusive room’ I booked on Expedia was not available. Instead I was given the ‘master room’ which I specifically avoided booking. The front desk apologized saying Expedia showed I booked the master room but that there was nothing they could do and I’d have to contact expedia. Expedia confirmed I did book the exclusive room and they tried calling the hotel repeatedly but the hotel didn’t pick up the phone. I showed the manager my booking and mentioned Expedia is trying to contact them and they said “ok” and shrugged it off. Shocked that the hotel didn’t care and left it to the customer to sort out with Expedia. Condition of the room i was stuck with and didn’t book: the main door was about to fall off the hinges from rusted out hardware. Stains all over the bedsheets and furniture. Some of the lights wouldn’t turn on. Numerous window latches would not close. Room didn’t feel Secure. Ultimately Expedia made right with me but the hotel did literally nothing and didn’t care at all. On top of this, there was a highly venemous yellow bellied sea snake on the beach in front of the hotel at night. While rare, the hotel also could have at least warned guests about the potential threat of any animals on/near the property. "

"Beautiful grounds, clean spacious room with comfortable bed. Breakfast fresh and delicious. Property sits on the top of the hill, so to get to the beach you need to be able to go up and down unless using local taxi. Would stay again."

"Good basic local hotel in a magical location - please know this is a good Mexican hotel, not Canadian or American, so adjust your expectations. Incredible view but you’ll have to work for it, up a series of switchbacks on a very steep and winding cobblestone road. Down is harder to navigate but the heat gets you on the way up if you try to head back for a siesta or a bit of pool time. No food or drink available, which means you’ll have to plan well, as this hill is between you and all food and drink! You can take a taxi up from or down to town for 50-70pesos. Nice refreshing pool that we had to ourselves. Wonderfully gracious and helpful staff. "

"Nice, new rooms, stylish but simple. Exceptionally well maintained property, steps from a quieter part of the beach which we loved, 15 min walk to the center of town. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. "
