"True, there IS a beach connected to the property, however, there is a sea wall, so no "regular" access to the ocean. Although the water at sea wall was deep enough for a boat, you technically "could" get in the water from the boat dock.
Our room "door" was a patio slider ...with curtains... As we were on the ground floor, people walking by could see our entire room. When the curtains were closed for privacy, the room was dark... convenient early morning but not so during the day. So when changing we had to remember to close the curtains and turn on some lights
Our room was on the ground floor, along the OUTTER wall In other words not opening into the courtyard...Our room "door" opened onto a quasi alley way, that anyone from the street could walk down. A cause for hesitation however for the most part, only hotel guests walked past.
Shower had low water pressure but maintenance fixed that right up. There was no closet, just a rod with hangers and a safe on a pedestal. There was a small fridge, two place settings worth of utensils, coffee pot, etc.
STAFF was awesome, they readily provided everything we asked for/about. ...excursions... clothes iron... microwave...fix safe door, directed us to space to park golf cart, arranged for taxi for us
As our stay drew to an end, the sagassum smell got worse and eventually smelled bad from morning to night. "
"Ramon’s was perfect in every possible way. The staff was helpful with our needs. We enjoyed the pool every afternoon as it provided a refreshing break from the ocean with plenty of shade and patches of sun."
Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Loved this wish they had more events going on for guests but overall very relaxing would certainly stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful"
"The property was fine enough. The price was good. The location was good. It was fine. The pics were definitely more beautiful than the property but the property wasn't bad. I could stay here again. "
"Clean large rooms, great pool. Great breakfast options. Unfortunately beach was smelly due to the sargassum infiltration so not really usable but good midpoint on north end of island- 20-25 minutes to town and to secret beach. "
