AMAZING!!!!! Stunning hotel, super friendly, helpful…. The location is amazing, just a couple blocks from the center, with lots of restaurants, shops, bars. The Spa services were incredible. Absolutely recommend this boutique hotel!

Overall great place People were outstanding, in all areas, especially concierge desks, restaurant waiters, bar keepers. Location excellent. Aldamo cafe also excellent. A small quirky thing vs other Mexican hotels was lack of free drinking water in rooms.

New year get away.

We loved everything about Hotel Matilda. The location was perfect to everything downtown. Staff was very very friendly and considerate. They offered to help in every aspect, whether it was to carry shopping bags to the room, turnover the room at whatever time that worked for us. Hotel was exceptionally clean and spa services were amazing.

Spectacular

This place is amazing! It is beautiful, comfortable and located close to the plaza. But what makes it outstanding is the staff - best we have ever experienced! Their care and concern for each guest is truly surprising. I needed help with a wedding bouquet and they went above and beyond to make sure I got to the people and places I needed. We became good friends in just a week. We loved everything and would recommend it highly!

I don’t often write reviews, but in this case, I feel I should. Positives: The staff were very helpful, and housekeeping was outstanding—honestly, the best ironed shirt I’ve ever received at a hotel. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the plaza and right on Aldama. The gym and spa were excellent; my wife especially loved her facial. Negatives: Unfortunately, the first coffee we received somehow had what seemed to be an acid-based cleaner in it, which burned my wife’s throat. That really shook our trust in the breakfast service, which was already pretty minimal to begin with. The pool is small, with very few seats, and it wasn’t well maintained—we noticed debris floating in the water. The rooms are quite tight in terms of space, though very clean.

Excellent service. The staff is always there when you need them . Our room got cleaned 3 to 5 times a day, that is hard to see even in a 5 star hotel. Concierge service was beyond expectation, they where able to get us a wine tour 1 hour before; even when there was no tours avaible. Bar tender service was excellent. if they don't have the drink you want, then it will be created for you. We received no excuses on why it was not possible. Everything was doable at Matilda.Strongly recommended . We will be back with more friends. Keep up with excellent service . Jose Andreu

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The cathedral and main plaza were within walking distance as well as other small restaurants. It was just a beautiful experience and will definitely stay there again on my next trip.
