Would have been a 5 star because clean and good mattresses but simple stuff like poor lighting and terrible foam pillows let them down. Many hotels now offer a mix of soft and hard pillows. This one was a journey back in time with neck busters

SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel
Great breakfast, heaters were on to enjoy it on the patio. Easy free parking, nice sports bar type restaurant adjacent. Easy stairs to beach.

Cottage Inn By The Sea
Friendly, helpful staff, great accommodations, and best of all the sight, sound, and smell of the Pacific Ocean and Pismo Beach right outside my door. It was a great experience!
