Staff were super friendly, rates were good, and random hostel stayers seem to be nice too. It's my first time staying and hostel and this was mindblowing experience.

This is awesome affordable place to sleep. Quiet and clean. No complaints. Although one would hope they would clean the restrooms every day which they don’t.

I would recommend this place to anyone. Women might wanna be careful because it’s a shared space and there might be anyone in the next pod. Other than that the place is clean, there are barrooms and showers and the staff is amazing!!!!! I would come here again

Best hostel design
Pods and room are very clean, likely because they don’t allow food in the bedrooms. The washrooms are individual (one sink, one toilet, in each washroom) with plenty of space for changing. Shower stalls have room to change and two hooks. Shower room is kept very warm.

It was my first time staying at a Hostel and couldn’t have had a better experience. Loved how the pods are so private, never had to wait to take a shower or use the bathroom, kitchen is super useful and handy. The street is noisy tho, and it was super hot when I stayed there and the ac doesn’t work in the bedrooms so it bothered me at night. Mind you that when you arrive you don’t look for their number/door on Franklin St, just go to the first door on your right going up Austin St. The area is safe and plenty of public transportation close by. There is also Whole Foods and Walgreens close to the Hostel so you can buy frozen food, to get to good restaurants you’d have to walk a bit more.

Safe. Clean. Excellent value.
Easy late check in. Staff was helpful and friendly. Washrooms and showers were clean. Bed was acceptable. Top bunk was a bit hard for me to get in and out at night but I managed. The 4-bed room was clean. Large locker (bring your own lock). Communal lounge room had a fridge, filtered water, tea, cups, etc. My biggest complaint was the lack of AC. My last day was brutally hot for SF in the high 80s and the room did not cool down until past midnight. Otherwise, I liked my stay. Where are you going to find a clean, safe place to sleep and shower for that kinda price? Definitely recommend Nap York SF.

This is an excellent hotel which is close to all the main San Francisco spots. For a solo traveller it’s very safe, secure and clean and an awesome gem in the heart of the city. Loved my stay and will defenitely return!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Entire property smelled like urine. The neighborhood is in a horrible place. Rules while in the hostel include no food and drink and no talking on the phone. Almost zero opportunities to be social. Stains on the sheets and pillow cases. Not only stains but fresh smudges of what appeared to be bodily fluids as well. Management is horrible. I explained a long list of short comings and their only response was “no refunds”. In no way shape or form addressed the issues presented. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Everything was clean and staff were friendly and clear about how the property works. Appreciated the signs that were placed in certain places. Was not able to get wifi working, dusty and stuffy room due to construction outside but overall a very quiet comfortable stay.
