"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at San Montano Resort & Spa. The views over Ischia and the Bay of Naples are breathtaking, the pools and spa facilities are world-class, and the atmosphere is both relaxing and elegant. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. Every member of the staff was warm and professional, but I want to especially recognize Gennaro, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. His attention to detail, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome and well cared for. San Montano is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy incredible food, and soak in the beauty of Ischia. Highly recommended — we will definitely return!"

"A glorious resort and thermal spa in the charming town of Lacco Ameno, 10 minutes walk from the public beach and with several excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk. Staff is wonderful, the thermal pools varied and very restorative and our room was large and comfortable. My only criticism would be our tiny tiny shower cubicle but otherwise our five days there were great."

"Upon our arrive we were checked in and our Passports taken for 4 hours. Nit sure what this is about as all other hotels just di IS check there and then. This was my only real issue with the hotel. Its set amongst the most beautiful gardens, on the waterfront. The area is quiet and we always felt safe, even when walking back from city centre at 1am. Forio centre is approx 20mins walk, an easy to get to and worth visiting. The staff at reception were ok, but the staff at breakfast were amazing, chatty and gave us great advice (we do speak italian so that helps) Our room was perfect, in the new building, top floor, overlooking the sea. Best room. It was spacious with good sized balcony, nice large bathroom and shower. Room was cleaned daily, with no complaints from us. The beach, although small was great, and included in hotel price (someone commented on here they got charged???) Breakfast was ordinary mostly cakes, but this is what italians eat, so it was fine. Air-conditioning was good, but definitely not controlled by us temp as we turned it down but no change in room temp, but at least it was cooler than outside. I would definitely stay here again"

"Hotel and room was fantastic, old Italian country style. The beach, layout, sun beds on the cliff, the epic scenery and even different style of tiles in every single room - what makes it so special. Minus was a lack of non fish/seafood option as my partner doesn’t eat it but other that that food was good for me. "

"Maria at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! She made us feel very welcome, like family, even though we spoke mainly English. The property was located in such a great area of you’re looking for a quiet place to retreat after a day downtown (it’s is still walkable) Great stay, we will definitely stay here again "

"Comfortable apartment and great beach location. Restaurants at your doorstep, close to mini market and 10 minutes walk to bus stop. You can walk to Forio in 20 minutes along the foreshore. "

"We just left Ischia after our first visit. As a family of four with two adults and two children, 3 and 7, this was a fantastic place to stay. The photos accurately represent the property. The views are as stunning as you see in the pictures, but of course better in person! They include all of the basic amenities needed and even did some light shopping for us before we arrived so we had some extra necessities for the kids. Check in was easy. Note that you have to pay 2/day in tax in cash. The place drips of ischia in terms of decor and style. Very clean and lots of light. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms beautiful. Only complaint with the bathrooms is the lack of a door on the downstairs bathroom - very limited privacy! It was very safe and parking was easy behind an automatic gate. Note that you share parking with the other villa on the property so it’s a little tight but doable. Speaking of which - there is another villa just below this one. We regretted not booking that one because it appeared to have a plunge pool which would have been great with the hot weather! Also you could hear voices from the other villa sometimes. The kitchen was excellent and well equipped and there is a small washing machine, and a drying rack outside. It is located perfectly - a short drive to Forio, and the rest of the island is also easily accessible. The Mariana gardens are directly across the street! In all we had an amazing time at this fantastic villa!"
