Piccolo Hotel

8/10 Good

"The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to the train station. I also found some good reasonably priced restaurants closeby. A simple and quiet room, with comfortable bed and small fridge. I thought the washroom seemed to have a mouldy or musty smell."

Hotel Marechiaro

"The hotel was beautiful clean room, view to the beach was beautiful, Breakfast was good, the lovely lady name Sylvia went above and beyond, very nice! Dinner was a different experience, the staff was unapproachable, didn’t explain the menu, didn’t come back and check on us, we were charged for, bread, oil and balsamic vinegar, the tablecloth and cutlery! Food was under cooked, when we were done, they removed everything off our table before we left! Very disappointed!"

"We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has many great facilities, especially the spa and gym, which were a real bonus. Our child absolutely loved the nursery, and there was a great selection of activities to keep them entertained. The lunch and dinner buffets were very good, with plenty of choice. As the hotel has such a relaxing atmosphere, it would be nice if breakfast service reflected that and remained fully available until the advertised finishing time. Our room wasn’t one of the newer refurbished rooms, as none were available to book, which was understandable. However, the shower was a real disappointment. The water temperature constantly changed from freezing cold to boiling hot without anyone touching the controls, making it very difficult to shower comfortably, especially with a child. We reported this and requested that a plumber look at it. Although we were told someone had attended, unfortunately nothing seemed to have changed and the problem continued for the rest of our stay. The only other issue was smoking in the evenings. While we understand this isn’t entirely the hotel’s fault, the number of pe"

"It’s was great to have room cleaning every day and nice to come back to a freshly made bed . This is a family friendly hotel with no steps for people with pushchairs. This didn’t affect us but I could see this helped people with young families. All the staff of which many were young were extremely friendly and keen to help ."
