Stroll down Voltaire street and engage all your senses for all kinds of delights and sights. Our studio is located in one of the most desirable areas in Ocean beach. No matter what direction you head, you will find yourself immersed in the pulse and grove of OB. Located only 3 blocks from one of the most popular beaches in San Diego and the famous OB Pier. Stroll down to the beach, or mosey along popular Newport Ave. OB offers new breweries, fun restaurants, antique shops, surf shops, surfing, taquerias, and great sunsets.

There is no A/C but being so close to the beach, you get a great sea breeze, but just in case, there is a portable fan (stored in the closet).

OB Studio Gem
I recently spent a few days at this property for the xmas holiday. It came as advertised--no surprises! The property was ideal for a single person, but would suffice for a couple as well. A short 5 min walk directly down vibrant Voltaire St. to the beach. Or, ten minutes to the main stretch of Newport Ave., you can't beat this location!

Absolutely amazing property! Very cute and and awesome neighborhood! Plenty of food places all around! Perfect little getaway 4 minutes walking from the beach! The only downside is the bed is a little uncomfortable but that is purely personal preference!

The room was a pretty cute place but the bathroom could use some updating and a little better cleaning. I like the kitchen and sleeping space. The major downside for me was the lack of parking. Finding a space on the street close by was not always the easiest and I was constantly worried about where we would park.

Decent location, checked out early due to issues
My girlfriend and I rented out this cute studio for our 1-year anniversary with the intent on walking & exploring Ocean Beach, however we had a couple issues that forced us to leave early. - Skylight: not mentioned in the description, there's a skylight directly over the bed which wakes you up as soon as the sun rises. The owner placed curtains over the bed to help, but they are transparent, whyyyy??? - Mosquitos: within 10 minutes of arriving we both were bit about a dozen times. We closed the windows to prevent them from entering but then it was muggy and hot in the unit. - Kitchen: as mentioned previously, there just isn't quality kitchenware. Everything is cheap and minimal. - Cleaning: I still don't get why we're asked to "do the dishes and take out the trash" if we're paying a cleaning fee? Either get rid of the fee and ask us to clean, or charge a fee and let us live. - Bonus! Communication: DM'd the owner to ask if we could adjust our stay to add the night before and come a day early. They responded yes with the price. Then after a lengthy and weird phone call where the (manager?) kept repeating herself, she asked me to text the updated dates to her, which I did. The next day she called me and in another weird incoherent conversation said the unit was rented already and they couldn't extend my trip. Due to these issues we decided to drive back home a day early. Won't be renting here again. 2-stars for the location in proximity to Ocean Beach.

Best for walk-only travelers.
I bailed on this place after one night; it just wasn't good for us as a base for a week of exploring San Diego. - Beach is a 15-minute walk (minimum) through a busy neighborhood with heavy traffic and a lot of homeless people. I was envisioning being able to walk over any time we had an hour to kill. - Kitchen has the appliances but nothing to really make food with. I wasn't expecting to make fancy meals but was hoping to save money by cooking on the trip instead of eating out. Didn't even have a mixing bowl or a cookie sheet. - Parking is a nightmare. I really don't want to spend 15 minutes circling the surrounding blocks looking for a space when I'm on vacation. - Asked the host if there were streets that consistently had parking available and was told to park in front of the building. I'm not an idiot, f it was that easy I wouldn't have asked. - I don't know if we caught San Diego at an especially warm period, but the rental was very hot and stuffy even when the outside temperature was quite comfortable. I had all the windows open and the one tower fan provided on high right in front of the open door and it didn't do anything to draw in the cool night air and make the space more comfortable. Couldn't leave the door open overnight for safety concerns. The buildings in this area are tightly packed together and the idea of breezes cooling everything is wishful thinking. -Jet noise is constant until late at night. -Host didn't respond when I asked about checking out early.

Lovely stay, short walk to the beach!
Greta location if you’re staying in OB for a weekend!! Right across the street for a food co op (amazing mango salsa there), and then only a 16 mins walk to the beach. Bunch of cute shops and coffee places along the street as you walk. And the beach that’s close is a DOG BEACH!!! So many cute dogs, it was fantastic.
