Steve review showed that we have provided a high level of service and amenities within the property. All his other concerns were about the environment outside of the property which is unfortunate for him that he had a bad experience. As a host we cannot control the external environment of the property and we do inform our guest about the parking situation in our check in instructions..

Toni love the property but not the parking situation which is understandable but regretfully it is not something that I can control. The apartment came with no parking. Using Uber is definitely a great idea and that is why my rates are lower than my competitors so that there are allowance to use Uber if necessary.

The property is located close to the airport and one block from the beach. Hence there will be noise. But it is definitely more quiet in the night. Ocean beach has a busy atmosphere just like any other beach community. I have offered to move Emily to the upstair apartment which is more quiet and private before her arrival but she declined. We provide beach towels and blankets and pen but not paper. If Emily had text the host, we would had given her the location of all those items since she wasn’t able to locate them within the apartment. We will also have delivered some paper to her if she had text us. The beds from both the bedrooms are from the same manufacturer. No one has complained that it is rock hard. It is unfortunate that she found one of the bed uncomfortable. Most guests love our location and amenities. Please read the other reviews to have a better view of our property.

Thank you Ally for giving so many recommendations and interesting things to do around the property. July is the busiest month in SD so parking near the beach can be challenging as with everywhere else. At least it is free in Ocean beach whereas you have to pay to park if you go to any nearby beaches in SD! It was unfortunate that the upstairs guest checked in past midnight and created some noise. We always try to inform guests that they are booked in the downstairs apartment so that they will have a chance to move to the upstairs apartment if necessary.

It is unfortunate that we had some young children staying in the upper apartment and was up all night. Most of the time, we do offer our guest the option to move upstairs if there are availability. Most guest do follow our 10pm to 9am quiet rules.

The slight mildew odor was from the apartment being shut for a few days because of the first heavy rainfall of the year. Guest left their wet swimsuit and wet towels trapped inside the apartment and without ventilation, the apartment will have a musty smell. It is quickly resolved after Erica’s departure by ventilation of the apartment.

Joy was given a video to show how to unlock the lockbox as well as we FaceTime with her to help her out too! However she was still using the wrong technique to unlock it so we had to get another guest who knows how to operate the lockbox to show her how to open it. The lockbox were newly replaced a month ago so there were no mild function with them.

Thank you for your nice response. We have free street parking all around the property and by the beach. Ocean beach is one of the last beach in Costal San Deigo that still offers free street parking!

Robert is also a VRBO owner so you should know that all listings have house rules especially about smoking because it is not tolerable by many guests and their children. My listing is favor by many families with young children because of the vicinity to the beach so keeping it smoke free is important. Most guest will inform me if they are smokers before the reservation and enquirer where they should smoke but not only did Robert didn’t inform me, he is complaining about the rules. Most of our guests love our bed because it is very comfortable and of high quality. If he is complaining about the sofa bed that can’t be helped. Robert received communication during his stay because another guest package was delivered to his apartment, to inform him of the extra towels that he can use for his dogs and the place where he can find an umbrella because it was raining. He really appreciated those text when he responded. We always provide beach towels but they are the modern microfiber, light and quick dry ones that he may have not known were beach towels. He can definitely have sent me a quick text to enquirer about it, if not housekeeping will definitely deliver the beach towels to his apartment during his visit.
