"My keypad didn’t work getting into my room and had to be remote in. There’s black mold on the floorboard by the shower. I paid an “amenity” fee which included my breakfast credit. When I went to the shop location, they told me they had no idea about a “credit” but a discount. The staff was very helpful and super responsive. But even with that, when I asked for my amenity fee to be reimbursed since I didn’t receive it, they had to check with their boss, I.e. I’m not getting that back. "

"Cute place. Older hotel but well maintained. Staff was friendly and attended to our needs as requested. Good location, near the pier and all the restaurants my husband wanted to visit. He’s a San Clemente native so this place fit the bill for him to stay in town and hit all his highlights. Would stay again!"

"Pool gate didn't lock and was accessible from street, pool was dirty, pool cleaner arrived before we had anytime at the pool and said we couldn't get in for half an hour after he was done, said there was a lot of chlorine and to shower very well afterwards, hotel room door didn't close properly so when I went back after sitting at the pool my door pushed open without using a key, decided to leave property, manager would not refund me. I was very unhappy with the condition of the property and lack of the customer service. I am attempting to charge back w my bank. The only reason I booked a hotel was to use a pool w my son, and I couldn't do that."

"The hotel is under construction. I woke up to guys working outside my window. The air conditioning didn't work, so it was hard to sleep in the first place. It smelled of dust and I could see dirt and dust inside the return air duct as it did not have a filter. There was a second return which was odd but it was a two room suite and that filter was filthy. Once construction is done and if they clean the duct this place will be fine but I was annoyed that there was no mention of the construction. "
