New Listing! Enjoy the town for its Alsatian flair and situated on the Medina river. Easy access to Texas hill country and hunting season locations. Plenty of parking, stand alone unit, 3 adults or family of four, recently added a sleeper sofa so can add another adult or child. It is located within walking distance to historic sites of Castroville, convenient access off highway, easy drive in all directions to, San Antonio, Six Flags, and Sea World. Famous Dzuik’s meat market is walking distance, Haby’s bakery and public pool nearby (open summer and winter-heated!) Great hiking trails and butterfly garden in the neighborhood. Spring is poppy season and the apartment is on the town’s historic walk and poppy viewing trail. Kitchen includes full-size stove/oven (with air fryer option), microwave, apartment size refrigerator/freezer. Great location for many day trips! The apartment faces Amelia Street. Great space for hunting season!

This is a nice spot to stay in Castroville, tucked away in quiet corner. The property manager was very kind and helpful.

Short stay in Castroville

The place was great! Clean, easy check in and out, and great communication by the owner. It's close enough to San Antonio, but still far enough out of the city for some peace and quiet. I'd definitely stay here again.

Three night stay in Castroville

I enjoyed a three night stay at the Little Alsace House. The accommodations were perfect!!! The house was cozy yet spacious. There were plenty of linens and a well stocked kitchen. Lynn the owner was always available and very personable. This will defiantly be my choice for my next over night stay in Castroville

Wonderful stay!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The property was wonderful and in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It's located in a great spot to be accessible to San Antonio as well as to hiking and other outdoor experiences in this part of Texas. If you're looking for a great place to spend a few days in Texas, I couldn't recommend a place much better than this.

Cozy little guesthouse in a beautiful neighborhood

Wonderful host, and the Amelia House has everything you need for a weekend getaway. We came to visit The Alamo & Riverwalk. To San Antonio is about 30mins. We enjoyed the historic tour in Castroville. Moye Retreat Center is beautiful. If you like late 1800's buildings you will enjoy the town.

Charming and well appointed

The fibe is cottage country but with all the convenience of our modern life. I especially liked the clean soft bedding with extra everything. The host was very communicative and helpful in every way. Good experience all around.

Charming Retreat

We were greeted warmly by Lynn who oriented us to the rental. She was attentive throughout our stay. The property is clean and thoughtfully appointed with supplies and amenities that made our stay comfortable and restful. The decor is amazing. The historic neighborhood is charming. One morning we spotted deer across the street! This retreat is a gem!

Perfect stay

We loved this place! Plenty of room and seating. Family was able to come over and visit. Our 4 yr old great grandson had room to play. Very pet friendly. Saw deer walking down the road on their way to the river. Quiet! Our host was very friendly. We will stay here again.

Well appointed cottage-type setting

The house was very clean and in a quiet area. There were extra toiletries and towels. The kitchen had all we needed, but we did not cook while there. The cooling system worked very well and we appreciated the ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. I will recommend this place to family who come to visit.

Wonderful stay for students in Castroville

Lynn hosted four of my university students for a long weekend in Castroville as they presented their research to local community members. We're so glad to have found Lynn's listing. The house was clean and quiet, surrounded by green and walking distance to Castroville's shops and restaurants, as well as several historic sites. Lynn was a lovely host. She made sure that the house was set up for four adults and was responsive throughout the stay to any needs that arose. I will absolutely keep her place bookmarked for future trips. Thank you!!

Wonderful!

We stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary and couldn’t have been happier. Lynn is a delightful host who goes the extra mile for her guests. The location is great for exploring the town. You have easy access to the house and plenty of parking. There is nothing complicated about this property. I would definitely recommend rather it be for a long or short stay. You can walk from her house to the Landmark Inn and see all the historic homes in her neighborhood! I was very pleased with my stay here.

Great Stop

The house was neat, clean, and very well stocked on everything you might need. The only down side was the heat in the main bedroom, and given that it was August in TX, that was probably inevitable. Consideration of a separate AC unit for that room would be encouraged. I slept on one of the daybeds in the front and was quite comfortable. The owner was delightful to work and interact with. Easily 5 stars, especially when it cools down!
