"Stella was very helpful and helped with everything, even upgraded our room! We definitely recommend to everyone visiting Chania as it’s only about a 10minute drive to the port, will definitely visit again :)"

"The location up in the village was breeze, which was nice during the very hot days. But it is on a very busy road, and constantly very noisy for the near room."

"We did a 2-night stay at Evans House II and it exceeded expectations. The amenities are great especially the full kitchen and jacuzzi. The location is great, not too far from the main tourist areas. Communication was hassle free during the check in and check out process. Highly recommend! "

"My partner and I stayed at this beautiful family-owned hotel. We were impressed by the beautiful views from the balcony of our apartment and by the hotel itself. The apartment consisted of a large bedroom, living room / kitchen and bathroom with a balcony overlooking an inlet of the sea.
As a family-owned hotel, it was lovely to meet them all and to be treated with such welcoming kindness. In the evenings, we were often somewhere on the island but if we were at the hotel, they shared their family evening meal, which was always delicious. We felt like we were at home.
The rooms were cleaned daily except Sundays and were immaculate.

"This is an excellent base, to explore Chania and the western part of Crete. It was so peaceful. The house is wonderful, with great spaces inside and out to congregate. But, it was also easy to have some privacy."
"Lovely villa, fantastic pool and garden area. Bit of a walk to Kalyves but downhill. Easy to get a taxi back up! Cleaner was great. Company very responsive via email. Would have liked some information about things in the villa and where to go to shop and eat, taxi services to use, things to do around the area etc. It would have been nice to have been left basics like bottled water, coffee, bread when we first arrived. "
"We had a lovely stay at this apartment, the cool winds being up a mountain helped keep the hot weather bearable. The checkin was different but worked for us. There was two parking spaces which was handy for us as we hired two cars. The rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchen is well fitted out with most items required to have a family holiday. All the bedrooms are fitted with aircon systems. The Wifi is very poor, we could not get any reception in the bedrooms snd had to purchase sim cards to get any form of wifi as we were still working whilst on holiday and needed Wifi. I believe there is only one router between three villas which is probably the issue. The toilet seats are loose and missing the securing nuts whis is pretty dangerous should someone slip off and hit their head. The two showers are very average, one shower is missing the sliding door and the hose doesnt fix into its bracked firmly so moves around. The second shower is in the bath and sprays towards the opposite wall which then poors onto the bath then onto the floor. Easy solution is to fit a shower curtain. But in general the villa is very nice and the views are pretty nice. Despite the few issues we had a very enjoyable stay. Oh and you will probably need a sat nav to find the villa the first time you drive there, its up a very windy road. Try the taverners 1.4km down the hill, they are very good. "
"We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room. I’d highly recommend that you have it when you stay! The owner is also very helpful and communicative. I had several questions throughout the stay and always received timely and informative responses. "
"The villa is in a fantastic location with lovely gardens and a huge terrace with sunbeds. The views are fantastic. We hired cars which were useful for getting to the beach and into Chania. We were a family of mainly adult couples, so the ensuites were useful. They were all on the small side however. The children enjoyed the swimming pool but it was unheated so they were unable to stay in for a long time. The owners/agents were very helpful when a 'Sahara' rainstorm coated the patio, garden furniture and swimming pool with orange sand. They came and jet washed the affected areas and vacuumed the swimming pool 3 days running. There is another house being built next door so the pool was, on occasions, overlooked by builders. In view of this the owners allowed us to stay in the villa, on our last day until 3pm, when we needed to leave for our flight. This was a big help."
"The hotel is perfect for a beachy, chilled holiday if that’s what you enjoy. The small town has some shops etc which is good and Chania is only a 30 minute drive away along with Souda which are beautiful towns.
Especially the Chania markets! A must go to if you love a bargain!
The hotel could be somewhat more clear on what is included etc. The hotel is amazing so don’t let that put you off but we were told the tourist charge was €10 euro per room, per night, which is correct but we were also charged extra and we’re unsure really what that was for.
Also we have been twice to this hotel, the first time when booking we had the option available to go all inclusive plus but the second time that option wasn’t available until we arrived at the hotel and it was quite steep compared to the first time we visited the hotel and with not much difference to the basic all inclusive package. After all a gin and tonic is a gin and tonic be that from the local gin or branded big name gin.
Overall though, lovely place to stay and the staff are amazing! So helpful and super polite! Will absolutely be back again! "
