The Whitby Abbey towers over the town and can be reached by climbing the famous 199 steps and affords fantastic views of the town and out to sea. There are plenty of traditional dog friendly pubs with live music, tea rooms and delis, as well as some fantastic places to eat. Why not catch a tourist boat out to sea in search of minke whales and seals, or enjoy a trip on the steam train that snakes its way through the National Park into Heartbeat Country. There are plenty of seaside towns and villages to explore along this dramatic coastline, or take a trip to the walled city of York with its many attractions. What a little gem.

What a little gem. Beautiful small but perfectly formed little cottage with everything you need for a getaway. Well located for local attractions- Whitby and staithes both within 13 miles. Communication with host was excellent. The cottage is down a small track, wouldn’t fancy it in a sports car! It’s not the first cottages you come to just a bit further down the track. The views are stunning, will def return.

Absolutely amazing place.

Absolutely amazing place. Nice and secluded with great views. The owner left a few things for us on arrival which was lovely including doggie treats. The only one negative thing was the road leading to the cottage.
