"We stayed the Alienor gite, just outside the lovely village of Lanquais near the Dordogne river. Our host Ann is really excellent host. The house is excellent - all the comforts of home, plenty of space, great welcome supplies, spotlessly cleane, nice and cool in the really hot recent weather and excellent value for money. The site up on the side of a wooded hill was really quiet and relaxing, had great views and lovely countryside or riverside walks. The large private garden and facilities...

"Accueil très chaleureux, nos hôtes ont été très accueillants, nous avons pu découvrir le charme de leur petit hameau. Très bel endroit si on cherche du calme entouré de nature (grands espaces, vaches, une belle vue le matin) tout en disposant de services de proximité à 10 mn en voiture. Le coin piscine est très agréable, la maison propre et tout à disposition. Une adresse à découvrir !"

"Nous avions choisi cette location principalement pour sa piscine, afin d’en profiter en famille avec notre fille de 5 ans. À notre arrivée : eau verte, algues, punaises d’eau. Impossible de s’y baigner.Il a fallu 2 jours pour que l’eau soit plus « claire » et nous avons passé un après midi à nettoyer les parois de la piscine pour enlever les algues afin d’essayer de sauver nos vacances. "We really enjoyed the staying in this wonderful house. The kitchen and the rest of the house are very well equipped. You find everything you need. It is very well situated even if you like a quiet place to be or next to town. The children really liked the pool."

"Thibaud, the host, has created a lovely property that is very comfortable and well equipped. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool is also lovely and very private. Thibaud was charming, very helpful and very responsive. We would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return. "

"Un hôte accueillant , sympathique mais qui semble un peu dépassé par l'exigence d'une location. Belle vue depuis la terrasse où nous avons bien profité du barbecue !Une déconvenue dès le premier soir .Le compteur électrique , mal reconditionné , nous a contraints à ne faire fonctionner qu'un seul appareil électrique à la fois !Le barbecue nous a sauvés !Deuxième déception , la propreté : un ménage qui laisse grandement à désirer ...de la poussière ancienne un peu partout , des toiles...

"We hebben twee geweldige weken doorgebracht in dit fijne en bijzondere huis. Bruno is erg aardig en was altijd bereid een vraag te beantwoorden of een tip te geven. De locatie is perfect als uitvalsbasis voor veel verschillende soorten uitstapjes. En als het erg warm was, was er een airco en een zwembad! De oprijlaan is steil, gelukkig is er iets verderop nog een minder steile opgang. "

" The property is exactly as described; sleek and up to date inside yet the exterior blends in with the rest of the village.We were a party of two couples and the place is big enough that we never felt on top of one another. Our host promptly replied to inquiries and support was available nearby if required ( though it never was required).There is plenty to see and do within a 30 minute drive , so don’t hesitate to spend your vacation at this lovely gite."
