"We stayed at the Grand Hotel for 4 nights at the end of August and really enjoyed the hotel. The room was lovely and really clean with a large ensuite and the friendliness of the staff was appreciated. The restaurant offered sophisticated food which we did not expect. If anything, after 2 meals we would have appreciated simpler offerings but there is just no pleasing some people!"

"The hotel was pet friendly, which was important to us. The room was nice and clean but unfortunately it didn’t have air conditioning and the weather was very hot. The restaurant in the hotel was closed the night we stayed there but it was close to a very nice one within sight of the hotel which was recommended by the owner. The reception staff were receptive but looked glum - we asked if they could arrange for a taxi for us and was told they would not do this The setting was breathtaking The spar and pool facilities were good The female bar tender was very helpful and accommodating with requests The cleaning ladies were cheerful and very helpful"
