Disappointing

On first glance this guest house seemed really nice. The room had everything you should need for your stay however the whole building and room including bed sheets and towels were musty. The walls are very thin - you can hear people coming in and out at all hours. Well equipt but very disappointing.

Difficult to get into the room!

No information was sent prior to arrival as mentioned in the accommodation information on hotels.com. The information on arrival was in French only so it was difficult to understand how to access the property and the host did not speak English as advertised. Thankfully we had a phone that worked and speak a little French so we could call the number as indicated on the instructions on the front door but we found it difficult to understand how to get in. Eventually the owner sent us an SMS with instructions in French and English and we eventually got in, but I would avoid this property again based on this experience. It took us over half an hour of waiting outside and trying different things in the cold before we got in. The room was nice with a little continental breakfast, although did smell of stale cigarettes, and there is not much in the area.

Lovely overnight stay

The rooms were lovely and comfortable, a nice breakfast was left out for us. The host was very nice and arranged a taxi for us as we had an early flight. I would highly recommend this place for an overnight stay and need to fly in the morning. The airport is a few minutes away by taxi

Whilst the room was lovely, the bed comfy and the added continental breakfast welcomed: the noise of neighbours up until late for tired travellers was not appreciated. The owner was helpful in organising a taxi for us which we appreciated. Overall ok and I understand it is hard to control the environment around the room - people talking loudly outside the room late at night and early morning was disappointing.

The house was old, no problem, it could use a good painting. Inside there was a smell. The room was ok, but the towels had not a fresh smell. The bathroom can use a update. I would not recommend this B&B to other people. Sorry about that. Greetings, T. Welman

Breakfast minimal but adequate for a rooming house. Garbage never picked up in 3 days. TV absolutely useless. Shower ok but floods the room. Only met owner once on arrival after waiting in street for 15 minutes. Only bkfst buns and drinks replaced. No other service. If I recommended this place to my friends,I would lose them and would possibly be sued by them.

We couldn't get in. We phoned the number provided, but the message was in French. Another guest waiting had been given a code for the key box, but it didn't work. We phoned Expedia; they were unable to reach the owners. They could only suggest going to another hotel. They started the process of requesting a refund. We gained access when a resident came out of the building and let us in. The rooms were unlocked. Only then did the owners send a text advising us of the key code "in case they couldn't be there". The room was clean, but the towels and bedding had that sour smell that comes from taking too long to dry. The bathroom door didn't latch. I would not recommend this property!

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi on retrouve ce type d’établissement sur votre site Ce n’est pas du tout un hôtel, plus une sorte de rbnb bas de gamme Déjà la façade fait peur j’en la voyant je voulais même pas rentrer, mais ma réservation n’était pas annulable, end’suite pas de réception on doit appeler un numéro et la personne nous donne des codes pour rentrer dans l’immeuble et ensuite vous guidé par téléphone devant la chambre puis vous donne un autre code, honteux je passe les détail mais la tv ne fonctionnait pas et quand elle a refonctionnee le son était très faible donc inutile très mécontent en resume

Belle chambre super matelas

Nous avons passé un we à Bâle et la chambre du cocon des lys est bien placée proche du tram. Idéal pour se rendre au centre ville ou au zoo en 20 minutes. La communication pour la prise en main de la chambre s est bien passé. La chambre est grande, le lit très confortable, nous avons bien dormi. Je recommande vivement le cocon des lys.

Super für einen Abflug aus Basel. Flugplatz sowie Innenstadt sind super zu erreichen. Der Gastgeber ist supernett und sehr persönlich. Liebevolles kleines Frühstück. Und dann der unschlagbare Preis. Wichtig: das ist kein Hotel sondern ein B&B.
