"Very friendly welcome, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. But what Hotels.com doesn't tell you is that it's a business hotel and the restaurant is only open Monday - Thursday. Hotel closes early so there is no where comfortable to sit when you return. By early I mean at 7:30pm on the Saturday it was closed at which point you have to use the night entrance. The bathroom was great, good shower an accessible wet room, but it also included the wardrobe ????? The bed was too high at 90cm+ (I measured it) and I had to use a stool to climb into bed. No natural light in bedrooms due to overgrown bushes outside. So I'd say ok for a 1 night stay Monday - Thursday."

"Our annual family holiday is a special occasion. It’s also a bit of a risk spending two weeks in a place that you’ve never visited. Our tick list has evolved over the years, with our priorities now being an enclosed garden for the dogs, ground floor accommodation for the parents and a swimming pool. This property ticks all the boxes and much more. Aline was a wonderful host from the outset. Communication before we arrived was easy and our questions were answered. During our stay Aline was on hand if we needed her, otherwise she allowed us to keep ourselves to ourselves. The house is beautiful, typically French with the usual fixtures and fittings you would expect. We had a couple of criticisms, one that there were only two toilets for the whole property. The other that there wasn’t enough comfy seating in the lounge. That aside it suited us perfectly and we actually spent most of our time outdoors anyway. The garden is huge and ideal for two dogs that need exercise. The pool and surrounding area is stunning, a real bonus. The property is set in the grounds of a chateau, idyllic. We certainly loved the location and would recommend it if you are looking for peace and quiet. In the day you could hear the peacocks whilst at night the owls came alive. There is a lovely little town just a couple of miles away, with the supermarket very close by. We enjoyed exploring other local towns and villages by car and bicycle. "There were dozens of bugs in my bedroom. When I brought the issue up to staff their response was that they "thought they took care of the problem this morning" and that they would simply vacuum up the bugs instead of properly cleaning the room or offering me a new one. The issue was not resolved and I told them I could not stay at this hotel if they could not find me a clean room. They refused to refund me the value of my stay because it was too late for them to rent out the bug infested room to anyone else. I am appalled at the service and the fact that I had to pay for a bug infested room which I did not stay in. "

"We stayed for one week in July/Aug and had a fantastic time. The house is very clean and tidy with a great set of facilities, particularly for children (cot, high chair, stair gates etc). The pool is definitely the highlight at it is very well maintained and is heated which means it can be used for the whole family. Geanina is an amazing host who responds promptly to requests and is really helpful in making your stay perfect. There is a good supermarket (Intermarche) within 10 mins drive and also an amazing patisserie and boulangerie (Aux Co'Pains Gourmands)."
