What's nearby

  • This is just one of many spectacular views from a walk entitled "Pas Du Loup". We started at Capluc, a cross on a peak above Le Rozier and did the entire circuit. It's still comfortably in my top ten all time great walks. If you suffer acrophobia it's one to be avoided. The area is also something of a mecca for rock climbers. The whole Goreg du Tarn is a special place for me because the tourist buses don't go there and it's reputedly the deepest gorge in Europe.

Teleurstellend vakantiehuis

Kort voor onze aankomst kregen we van onze contactpersoon een reeks overbodige vragen via WhatsApp over onze boeking, allemaal namelijk al lang tevoren geregeld met vrbo. Zij bleek echter niet op de hoogte.De sleutel lag in een sleutelkluis wat heel handig was. Er was echter niemand die daarna info kwam geven, noch een kaft met uitleg te vinden. We werden dus aan ons lot over gelaten. Vanaf de 1e dag stapelde de problemen en gebreken zich op:-Defecte keukenkraan, het water stroomde uit de kast-Geen buitentafel en stoelen zoals op de foto's, enkel zeer onpraktische en gammele klaptafels en banken-Geen deftige wasdraad, enkel te klein wasrek-Een zeer vieze en defecte gasbbq-Knellende deuren veel nachtlawaai-Kapotte klink bij 1 slaapkamer, enkel ontsnappen langs raam mogelijk-Defect zeepbakje in afwasmachine-Veel kapotte vloertegels en ontbrekende plinten-Gammel handoekrekje en zeepbakje in douche-Verbrijzelde raam in keuken-Kapotte verlichting in zwembad-Door een gebrek aan onderhoud van het zwembad zag het water knalgroen vanaf dag 5 niet meer zwemmenAl deze problemen werden gemeld, maar enkel de kraan en de bbq werden hersteld (wel pas na 3 dagen). Op de rest werd totaal niet gereageerd, uiteindelijk was de contactpersoon zelfs niet meer bereikbaar.Alle klachten hadden makkelijk voorkomen kunnen worden en zijn een direct gevolg van een lakse eigenaar en een gebrekkig onderhoud. Helaas was dit huis voor ons dan ook absoluut de hoge kostprijs niet waard!
