✨️Catering & Flavours✨️ Composed of a large kitchen fitted out with its authentic wood-burning stove, this place will allow you to cook delicious meals, just like in the old days. And if cooking is not your domain, let yourself be seduced by our Slow-Food formulas: committed and seasonal cuisine, prepared with care and served directly in the comfort of your cottage, from breakfast to dinner. Prices vary according to the season (e.g. full formula from breakfast to dinner: €35 per person per day, excluding drinks). The menus will be communicated to you upon your arrival.
✨️Living & Night✨️ Areas The living room is large and warm. With its sofa and armchairs, you can take full advantage of the warmth of the wood stove in winter or the coolness of the granite stones in summer. The cottage has two bedrooms with all the necessary comfort (sheets, duvet, pillows, etc.): A first bedroom has a double bed. The second has two single beds. Both are very bright, perfect for waking up to the sound of birdsong.
✨️Garden & Outdoors✨️ The garden offers a remarkable view of the valley. You can admire unforgettable sunsets, while enjoying a pastry concocted by your Chef. Chairs and an outdoor table are at your disposal. The property also has its own forest to explore! With its private trial course, the place is ideal for motorcycle trial enthusiasts who want to train and evolve in a granite environment. It is also the perfect place to spend time with family or friends, to go camping in the middle of nature (tent provided) or to organise a party.
✨️Nature & Découvertes✨️ Many small trails will allow you to explore the surroundings to hear the cuckoo song, cross the path of a deer or admire the colours of a salamander. Or simply to chat with beautiful Limousin cows lounging in their meadows. A true paradise for nature lovers! Nearby The nearest village, Sardent, is a five-minute drive away. It offers a well-stocked supermarket, a bakery, a bar-restaurant and a pharmacy. There is also a guinguette during the summer season. Located on the edge of a lake, it organises events such as concerts with food trucks, etc. Guéret is located 17 km away. The town offers a variety of restaurants, shops, a traditional market square and a museum with its flower garden. Local attractions (within a 45-minute drive): Chabrières Forest The giant labyrinth of the Guéret Mountains Courtille Lake (one of the largest in France) Autorail Creusois Chabrières Wolf Park The Follies Forest Festival: a nature and craft festival that has been held since 2008 in the heart of the Chabrières forest (next dates: 12-13 Sept. 2026). Known throughout the world, the martyred village of Oradour-sur-Glane is a ruined village located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, 1h30 from the gîte. A place steeped in history for those interested in historical heritage.
✨️Activities & Terroir✨️ The Creuse is known for its lakes offering water sports, fishing and beaches. But it is also the ideal terrain for cycling enthusiasts! Spread over the entire department, the Creuse has more than 450 kilometres of marked and safe cycle routes (roads little frequented by motorists). Looking for thrills on the handlebars of your mountain bike? The Monts de Guéret have two downhill mountain bike trails to hurtle down the difference in altitude as it should be! Local culinary specialities include hazelnut cake "Le Creusois", Limousin chicken pâté and Limousin galetou. The traditional potato pie and Creuse fondue are also a must.
