Nature & tranquility, all year round, a piece of paradise in the Gorges du Tarn
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (23)
"This old stone house is built up against a cliff in the Tarn River Gorge, a place of exceptional beauty. We stayed in early spring and enjoyed the fresh greenery, bird songs and the occasional fox sighting. It's very secluded yet convenient to town and exploring the area. The house has a well equipped kitchen, good lighting, a comfy sofa for evenings and a very good bed. The porch offers a fine view of the river and canyon and is great for eating out. Clare and Alex have worked hard to make this...

Renovated "dependency" close to Meyrueis ideal setting for up to 7 people
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"Les propriétaires étant absents pour la durée de notre séjour, je ne peux rien dire sur l'accueil. Le gîte était ouvert et correspondait à la description et nos attentes. Nous avons beaucoup passé de temps en randonnée et n'étions au gîte que le soir. Nous avons eu un problème de connexion à la wifi vite résolu avec la propriétaire via SMS. Pour le reste rien à redire."

"We had an amazing time, the house was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Christiane and her family were so welcoming and friendly , we had fresh eggs on arrival, fresh strawberries and cherries as well. Thanks to iPhone we could communicate but to be honest they and us totally understood each other. We loved the place and would definately stay there again. Characterful Cottage, exceptional view on Dourbie Valley, near Millau Viaduct
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (33)
"Staying in and among buildings in a village settled in 1067, clinging to a steep mountain wall, seemed to connect us deeply to the history and geography of South France. Tricky to find, even with the help of some good men in St Andre de Vizines, the effort was exponentially rewarded. Of our 1800+ kilometer drive to visit alps, a bridge, a cave, and a city of lights, our stay in St. Andre keeps emerging as a true highlight."

"Amazingly friendly welcome and great location. Good food at dinner, served during entertainment. Basic breakfast. Didn't get to try out the pool. Room did not have aircon but on an extremely hot day was nice and cool with the balcony door left open for a while. The surrounding area is spectacular. Particularly like the floodlighting of the rock face at the back of the hotel at night. Will be going there again."
