"Loved this enchanting little hideaway.It was private, peaceful & lovely. The sight & sound of the river was mesmerizing & the cottage was cozy, clean & comfortable. The dog run was very handy & so was the gate that connected it to the deck. Mike, the host was communicative & very helpful. It truly was an idyllic stay & I look forward to returning to this ‘Gem in the Glade’"

"This is our second Fourth of July staying at this wonderful property and I have already booked Fourth of July for 2027. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils and everything you need for cooking. The property manager was prompt at replacing a broken coffee pot.We love the screened in porch and wish there was an opportunity for a daybed or something to sleep out there it’s so lovely. Another thing about the property that I wish was different, is the noise coming from the upstairs. If you have someone staying upstairs and you are sleeping downstairs, every movement up there is loud. If you are a soft sleeper, I would recommend taking the upstairs bedroom. Otherwise, you will hear every footstep and movement. Nonetheless, we enjoy our stay here and look forward to next year!"

"This is our second time staying at this cabin and we absolutely love it. Since the last time we visited they added a new ‘fireplace’ which we enjoyed very much and rearranged the furniture into a more cozy setting. The first time we were there it was meticulously clean, however this time I noticed several cobwebs and areas where a little more attention to detail would be nice. Overall though, it is very clean and tidy. The grounds are well kept and pleasant. The kitchen is well stocked, nice appliances, and a new outdoor propane grill was a pleasant surprise. Our only complaint was a very strong septic smell. The host informed us a technician was supposed to fix it, but was unable to. 3 days of smelling that, even while outside, really put a damper on our anniversary trip. Hopefully that gets resolved quickly. Overall, this is a nice little rustic cabin, wonderfully located close to the river, we highly recommend it, and we intend to return again."

"Great house with 2 master bedrooms and a loft. We were able to sleep 7 adults comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked and had extras; spices, oil, etc. I also appreciate the extra TP and paper towels. Often they give you one roll and that doesn’t last. The deck is amazing but we couldn’t use as it was raining."
