"The Parkhotel Matrei has some of the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve met. The hotel gave off “home” feelings and not commercial hotel. The convenience of a front parking lot, gas station & grocery nearby was great and the rooms were perfect size for me and my many bags, as well as a space for me to get my work done. I was also given a holiday gift bag because they knew I’d be alone for the holiday. Just a great place, words don’t do them justice. Definitely will be returning some day!"

"This is a wonderful hotel. So friendly and helpful. Super breakfast buffet. Classic Alpine/Tirolean aesthetic. Extensive spa facilities. Good wine list.
It is listed on some websites as ski-in/ski-out, which is not accurate. However it was no problem. There is a free bus to the lifts, takes just 2 minutes, very easy and reliable service. Or you can walk there. We rented lockers for our skis near the lifts so we didn't need to carry them around, which made things very easy.
