The Classic Desert Aire Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Always a great stay. When in town I get a room and everyone it’s a new experience in a great way. Bbq is a bonus coming off a long road trip from SanDiego. I’ll be back soon."

Days Inn by Wyndham Alamogordo/White Sands
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great experience! We went to the white sands after, and we had a great time. It also has a Chili's close to the hotel, so that is another reason I liked the place. Great space and very comfortable. Definitely recommend, especially because of the price."
Beautiful Cloudcroft Getaway cabin on National Forest & biking/hiking trails
10/10 Excellent
"This Cabin was just as described. It was very clean and comfortable. Bed in primary room is firm - which was wonderful. The guest bedroom bed was a bit soft for an adult but fine for kids. The location proximity to town was a great benny and of course - backing up to Lincoln National Forest was amazing. The homes next door are actually quite close - but if you position yourself on the back porch right - they seem to disappear. It was very quiet and we did see lots of animals. We put out the humming bird feeder and bought a seed block to hang and it brought quite the show. People do walk a path in the park - do don’t be alarmed if you see folks at times. The neighbor does have 4 large dogs - but they are very respectful and bring them around if they bark. The little “fenced” in area was actually quite nice and perfect for our little fuzzy. It also gave a sense of a barrier when the deer and elk came in close. Our main complaint and really only complaint about the house was the windows and fans. With no air conditioning - air flow is key - especially with how hot this summer has been. But almost half the windows had no springs so they had to be propped up with things and they are extremely heavy - and they were filled with dead bugs. The only really dirty thing there. Window fans or standing fans would really help. Also adding screens or screen doors to the doors would also really help. We couldn’t keep the back door open because yellow jackets kept coming in."

"Parking was limited. Staff was nice .rooms needed some attention and over all property needs some love but very nice place"
Stargazing Family Cabin, 2mi to Shopping & Hiking Trls. 2BR+Loft/Office, 2.5BA.
10/10 Excellent
"We had an incredible 4-night August stay at this Cloudcroft cabin—it was easily the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever booked! The place was immaculate and packed with thoughtful amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we loved the welcome snack bin, plush towels, cozy throw blankets, shower supplies, and even laundry pods with stain remover. Our kids were thrilled with the toys, books, and board games, and the telescope for stargazing was a huge hit.The deck is magnificent, complete with active hummingbird feeders and beautiful views. We also loved seeing deer and elk in the neighborhood daily on our drives in and out.The host was great as well! Very helpful, quick communication, and answered all of our questions that came up. Highly recommend!A few helpful tips for future guests to ensure a smooth trip: - Driveway: It’s quite steep. We scraped the bottom of our minivan on the first try, but once we figured out the angle, it was fine. The hosts provide wheel blocks, so parking felt completely secure. - Stairs & Altitude: Coming from Dallas, the 38 steps up to the entrance definitely got us out of breath while unloading luggage until we adjusted to the high elevation. - Morning Sun: The massive windows offer breathtaking views, but summer sunrises warm up the living area in the morning. The AC helps, but it’s worth noting if you plan to sleep in.Despite the workout getting inside, this home is absolute perfection. We would gladly stay again and highly recommend it!"
