"The bar was great! The food was wonderful!!! Julie the bartender/server was great! Not only with suggestions but also on the history of the hotel and area. Our room was amazing, we had the king suite with river view and it was beautiful! They've kept some period pieces making it even more unique,as well as an outstanding job of maintaining the history and decor for the period. I truly wanted to go to each of the MANY rooms they had just to see what they had done to each of them. Let alone go to each floor etc. If you love history and appreciate the work involved in keeping a place like this up you will not be disappointed. The bed was so comfortable, sleeping was amazing (and we'd been to several hotels from ft myers beach to there), it was hands down the best and extremely reasonable... if you've never been there it's my opinion that it's a must see :)"

The property is perfectly located, all the shops and restaurants in downtown Marietta are within walking distance. The property is clean and well-appointed, and Maxx was a great host. "When you're in the middle of renovations, it would be good to indicate that somewhere. Instead I walked into a hotel that had no ice, little vending, no equipment in the fitness room, and only one of two elevators functioning. The first room I was placed in should NOT have been an option because it had no coffee maker, tissues, soap, alarm clock, phone, USB port, or batteries in the remote. They have a list of rooms being renovated, but I got put in one anyway. I got moved into a second room after midnight. It was an improvement, but still did not have an alarm clock or USB post anywhere."
