"This was our second visit to this resort. We like it for its quiet lication and absolutely stunning grounds. It is a respite for us. My 4 stars as opposed to 5 is simply because the units do lack some basic items (a roll of paper towels, etc) and some units appear to have upper and lower AC while others do not. We would love to see screens on the windows as the crossbreeze really does help with the heat, but no screens led to a lot of bugs in our unit this visit. Also, there was a permeating smell of sewer on/off during our time there, which was offputting. We did not have this issue last year. It is a beautiful place, just could use some upgrades here and there. "

The check in process is seamless and the staff are quick to answer in person questions. My only negative was outside of office communication, emails / calls / chat functions lacked in responsiveness. "Our family absolutely loved our stay at Villa Brisa! Maarten and Michele were exceptional hosts—always helpful and generous with insider tips on island life. They truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.The house itself is absolutely beautiful, with a well-appointed kitchen and spacious seating areas that were perfect for our family of six. The view from the back patio is breathtaking, and our kids spent countless happy hours in the pool.For those feeling a bit adventurous, the reef just off the stairs to the ocean was the best we saw anywhere on the island. We spotted turtles, octopuses, moray eels, and even explored a small shipwreck near the buoy north of the ladder. The north and east sides of the island are stunning, and the trail through the mountains to the east—starting near the house—is definitely worth exploring.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would love to return next year!"

"This place should update their pictures, the picture that shows on Expedia is definitely not the way it is in reality. it was very dirty, the pool had lots debris floating in it and on the bottom. Around the pool area it was all black and dirty. We got a room that was up some dirty stairs, away in a dark area. Stayed one night as we arrived after closing, booked a different place for the remainder of our stay in curacou. can't please everybody and you can always find something but this place is just dirty"
