NOT Maison de Maitre
Difficulty in sorting which photos belong to which actual rental- there are atleast 3.
I rented the most expensive and should have been the nicest, but it was not. I was embarrassed actually because my sister in law was coming for her first visit to France and this was not how it should be presented.
We asked and were granted to move down to the Rosier which was much more provençal but this home was full of dust mites to which I am allergic. So we had to wash ALL of the serviettes and beddings. Also there was no internet at all and we needed this as we were also working.
In the end (after she left) we had to move back to maison de maitre.
The groundskeeper and his wife were wonderful and tried the best the could but it is a large property that really should have a lot more staff to keep it up properly.
The stove in the kitchen has only one speed- HIGH.
Dishwasher performs only sometimes.
The Maison de Maitre is set up like an American boarding house and while the volumes of space exist, the dining and large common rooms are filled with disfunctional furnitures. More like a furniture dumping ground than an elegant volume.
Lastly, there are MASSIVE cracks in the ceilings and walls around the place. In the large common room/living room the ceiling is cracked and peeling!
More like a ruin really than a safe and wonderful home away.
