The Croft | Countryside Escape

Relax with the whole family in this beautiful, spacious and peaceful 5 bedroom home in Abbots Bromley: a quintessential village in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside.

Relax in one of 3 living areas (including a cinema room with Sky Glass), cook amazing meals in the spacious country kitchen, complete with Aga and enjoy your food in one of the two dining areas. Or you can cook outside in the BBQ area and enjoy the views sitting in the chairs on the large outside deck or fall asleep on one of the sun loungers.

The Croft has private parking and is within walking distance of 4 pubs, an Indian restaurant 2 Cafes and High Ash Country Farm Shops. Alton Towers is just 16 miles away and Lichfield is just 10 miles away.

This charming village is surrounded by rolling hills and leafy woodlands providing a beautiful backdrop for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, and horse riding. The village is steeped in history and home to several Grade II listed buildings, including St. Nicholas Church, which dates back to the 13th century, and the Almshouses, which were built in the early 17th century.

Abbots Bromley is also known for its annual Horn Dance, a traditional dance that has been performed in the village for over 900 years. This unique event takes place every September and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Overall, Abbots Bromley is a delightful place to stay, with a rich history, a strong sense of community, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Lovely location, lovely property
Stayed over the Easter weekend. Lots in the local area to do, lovely walks and pubs. House is a great size, really good for older kids to stretch out in.

A gem of a find
This house is fantastic and so much bigger than we first thought. 2 families of 4 stayed in it for 4 nights. The five bedrooms were spaced out on the 2 furthest sides of the property meaning that both families had their own space and bathroom. The various reception rooms kept the 4 children entertained as they could spread out. The large kitchen, dinner and cosy area was a fantastic place to relax once the children had gone to bed. The huge garden meant they could run around safely and would be amazing in the sunmer. The owners are lovely and very helpful. The house had everything we needed and more. We will definitely return next time we want to visit Alton Towers.
