"A lovely hotel convenient location. Breakfast was excellent with an extensive hot buffet service. My only gripe would be the disabled parking. They do have spaces right next to the door but there are no signs, except on the floor. We were blocked in by a very inconsiderate driver who claimed he didn't know it was disabled parking. Also the other space had a car in it with no displayed disabled badge. Perhaps a sign on the post infront of the parking spaces would be good asking for badges to be displayed or face a fine etc. We had to wait until the manager could locate the person responsible so we could even get into our car."

Genting Hotel & Spa at Resorts World Birmingham

Genting Hotel & Spa at Resorts World Birmingham

"Overall, it was a great experience and we really enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few things that could be improved. The £50 holding fee for damages was charged per night rather than per booking. Although it was refunded within 3–5 working days after checkout, I feel £50 per booking would be more reasonable. It was also convenient that the holding fee could be paid using any card, so it didn’t have to be the same card used to book the accommodation. The parking arrangements were a little stressful. A new ticket is issued every time you enter, meaning that even if you have paid for 24 hours, you need another ticket if you leave and return. I had to keep going to reception to have additional tickets cancelled. It would be much more convenient to pre-book parking for the duration of your stay with unlimited entry and exit. The spa and pool phone policy was also disappointing. Phones were not allowed, which meant we couldn’t take pictures or videos to capture memories. However, we noticed guests using their phones in the pool and spa areas, even if they weren’t taking pictures. As the rule didn’t appear to be consistently enforced, it felt unfair to those who followed it. A designated phone area or consistent enforcement would be helpful. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the hotel."
