  • Located in the heart of Cathar country, in a small hamlet (at the end of a dead end) between Carcassonne and Foix, this tastefully furnished villa will offer you comfort and tranquility. You will enjoy its breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and its protected and heated pool.

    The property is three miles from Mirepoix, charming medieval town where you will find all the amenities and services you need (restaurants, shops, local markets, entertainment, tourist office, cinema ...).

    To visit in the area: city of Carcassonne, caves of Niaux, prehistoric park, subterranean river Labouiche, forges Pyrene, Montsegur and other Cathar castles, gorges of Aude, mountain lakes, Canal du Midi, Limoux cellars. ... (We have been offering our rental on Abritel since 2002).

    A deposit of 500 euros (not cashed) will be returned directly on the spot at arrival in cash for foreigners or check for French.

Excellent location and villa

It was as good as anybody would want. The weather was not kind which usually means you start finding fault but we didn't. Very comfortable and close to all amenities. The flock of sheep and huge guard dog were endlessly entertaining. Very nice hosts.

Such a friendly relaxed welcome from the family renting their property. Great warm, pool and a fun social house. Entertained by the sheep and their guard dog. Definitely recommend this house. Beautiful views and sunsets over Mirepoix.

Perfect location

A perfect location near Mirepoix, Limoux, Carcassonne and numerous places we didn’t get to see…. Charming hosts and a lovely house - tranquil and superb views. Great pool too - perfect temperature. A couple of electric fans would be a useful addition for hot weather.

Beautiful location

The house is in a totally quiet rural spot with great views. The house is well equipped with everything you need. We all loved the pool and sitting in the shade of the trees. Great location for cyclists with close access to voies vertes towards Lavalenet and towards Bram and the Canal Du Midi. Only minor criticism, no handtowels only a bath towel each provided. We would love to come back again.

Vacances réussies peut-etre à renouveler

Séjour au grand calme que nous recherchions, dans une belle région, une très belle habitation tout confort, offrant une salle de sport comprenant plusieurs appareils, une agréable piscine. Un golf que nous n'avons pas utilisé, aucun pratiquant de ce sport parmi nous,et aussi pour ne pas déranger les moutons et leur chien Patou. Tous les petits ennuis d'intendance que nous avons rencontrés ont été rapidement pris en compte et réglés par Mr Sylvain, personne bien sympathique au demeurant que nous remercions. Nous avons aussi bien apprécié les légumes, fruits, oeufs frais, agneau du panier de Séverine, autre personne disponible au hameau pour des conseils et recettes au barbecue. En conclusion, des vacances réussies que nous n'avons pas vu passer.

This villa is the perfect family residence . Fantastic grounds , many acres , which the dogs loved . Have fun on your own personal golf course , table tennis , trampolining and larking around in the superb heated ( 30 degrees) pool . Very rural location which is ideal for cycling and walking yet only 5 minutes drive from Mirepoix with its many restaurants and large supermarket.Yves and Carole , the owners , were always available and communication , prior to our visit , was excellent . We are already thinking of booking next year.

Amazing location if you like peace and quiet!

We rented this property for two weeks and were not disappointed in the slightest, the views from the property are stunning at every time of day. The pool and all around facilities are excellent, so much so that you don’t have to venture anywhere if that’s what you’re looking forward to other than to get food and drink! Carole and Yves were great at communicating throughout and provided a couple of additional items when we asked. We would thoroughly recommend their place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We spent one week in the wonderful house of Carol and Yves. The house is in good shape, well equipped and has a transquill surrounding. We enjoyed the Pool, had good times on the patio and tried our best at the small Golf course. We will come back - That is for Sure.

Un coup de coeur !

La maison est superbe, on s'y sent comme chez soi. La piscine chauffée est un vrai plus. Chacun avait son espace (parents/enfants). Nous avons pu profiter de tous les équipements (ping-pong, salle de musculation pour mon grand, le golf - c'était une première pour nous, la pétanque ! Il y a énormément de livres sur place aussi pour le plus grand bonheur de tous : ma nièce était ravie !). La maison est au calme et nous avons pu profité des ânes voisins :) Il y a beaucoup de chemins de randonnées aux alentours et la ville de Mirepoix est vraiment très jolie (et pas loin du tout). Nous avons passé un super séjour et pensons y revenir (si nos grands garçons veulent toujours partir avec nous :) ). Merci à Monsieur et Madame LAFONT pour les très bons échanges et à Sylvain et Rachel pour l'accueil !

Un joyau caché !

C'était quoi tout ça pour nous ! Cette belle maison est magnifiquement cachée du haut d'une colline. Seul le bruit des oiseaux murmure à vos oreilles. Pas de circulation du tout et la vue est magnifique. Beauté à 360°. Mais ce n'est pas comme si tu étais complètement abandonné. A 5 minutes en voiture il y a une station essence, une banque, de bons boulangers et bouchers, et l'une des plus belles places de marché de France. La maison avec beaucoup de charme est entièrement meublée. Equipé de tout. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. La piscine bien entretenue et chauffée à 30°C était idéale pour se détendre. Bref, pour nous super et l'un des meilleurs que nous ayons eu, et il y en a déjà quelques uns...
