Alpine Inspired One Bedroom Urban Style Hut with Outdoor Bath
- This Award Winning build was inspired be alpine tramping huts and simple living. The Urban Tramping Hut is designed by architect and owner, Mary Campbell of Bellbird Architect as a labour of design love. A well proportioned one bedroom home with one bathroom and a small mezzanine accessed by ladder for a child. The Macrocarpa boards both inside and out have been locally sourced and there is a stunning mural inside by national award winning Rotorua artist Mark Noble.

Design vs Function
No curtains and an outside bath in an intensive urban area really needs adequate fences for some privacy. Shower was treacherous - slippery vinyl onto sharp copper shower base meant a nasty fall which ruined weekend. Ineffectual kitchen fan with supersensitive smoke alarm means all windows and door open to cook
