The free breakfast every morning was more than adequate. However, if you get there later for breakfast, there's not much food left to choose from. No air conditioning in summer and rooms are toasty in the morning. The room and bathroom was very large by European standards. Staff is friendly and welcoming. There is an elevator, but there are 5 steps up to the elevator. There is no bar, but you may purchase beer, wine, water and other drinks at the front desk. There is a large game room with air hockey, fooseball and billiards table and tons of seating with tables to play cards. Overall, we enjoyed our springtime stay very much!

They treated us as “untouchables” because I was in a wheelchair. They wouldn’t speak to us, even when they walked by. I’d contacted them telling them I was in a mobility scooter. They wouldn’t even listen when we tried to say we couldn’t go up the 5 stairs to get to the only elevator to get to the “disabled” room. The elevator lets out where there is 5 more stairs UP to get to the room. No bell boy helped us. My husband had to carry it up. Do not go there.

An exceptional choice for Rothenburg odT Literally, when you step out of the hotel, you are at the most photogenic spot in the village. Breakfast amazing and the staff exceptional! Highly recommend!ed!

Beautiful seating and breakfast areas. Great location. Rooms could do with an upgrade. Bathroom has absolutely no where to put toiletries and is very dark. Room furniture eg chairs and wardrobe like something from a cheap hostel. Bed is very comfortable.

Just wonderful
Rothenburg is a very special place and Hotel Goldener Hirsch made even more special. Excellent, kind and efficient service, very nice rooms, an awesome breakfast, and a great location within the old city. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful
Beautiful hotel in centre of old town with parking available (but in a side street) Front reception not very friendly but rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was wonderful

If we go back to town, it'll be to this hotel
We just stayed for a night. The room is small but very nice, the bed is super comfortable. The ambiance is very beautiful and there is a game room available. The location is unbeatable, right at the old city's center. You can almost take a picture for a postcard from the room's window.

Amazing
We had an amazing stay, the room had a fantastic view of Rothenburg and the Tauber valley. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of different foods and drinks.

This hotel is run like a bed and breakfast. Check in is at 4 pm and you cannot check in sooner but you can at least park your car and leave your bags at the hotel if you arrive earlier. Breakfast is lovely with beautiful views and wonderful selection. Parking is very close to hotel but difficult to find with google maps/Waze/GPS. Best to drive up to hotel entrance and they will point you in the right direction and allow you to leave your bags in their bag room.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
Perfect location for Rothenburg o. d. Tauber! Great parking; inside city walls; short walk to all key sights. Excellent breakfast. Gorgeous views of town and the river from the dining room looking west.

Great location. Wonderful breakfast and lovely staff. The town is full of places to explore. Only downside, lack of cooling. Soundproof windows on a busy street really do nothing if they have to be open.

The best aspect of our stay at this property was KATIA. The room we received was 1 star, but KATIA's willingness to try to accommodate us. There are better hotels no doubt, but this one woman made the difference for us. THANK YOU KATIA FOR GIVING US YOUR BEST.

great location and think we paid a little more for a corner room which was well worth it, plus the view from the toilet was world class!!!! Breakfast area and view superb as was the buffett.
