"Quiet and clean. Truck stop on south side of building was busy, so if you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the north side of the building. Only thing that was unfortunate: elevator out. From previous reviews, this seems to be repetitive. We did make more trips up/down.the steps with bags due to this . Despite that, Would stay again and recommend."

"This hotel is a gem of a place to stay. It is original in decor, clean, friendly and helpful. Our trip took us from Virginia to Vancouver Island and back and this hotel was possibly the best hotel we stayed in. It is an oasis. There are restaurants within walking distance, which is nice after a full day of driving. We cannot recommend it enough. It's 10 (out of ten!). The night we stayed, the hotel was sold out. We were so lucky to get a room."

"This was our accidental pit stop on a long road trip. We made the reservations late in the end and mixed up the booking; thankfully, the host was very responsive and understanding and made adjustments to accommodate our needs. Not your ordinary bungalow, mind you, more of a pirate ship complete with ladders, ropes, and a plank - creative design all around. One of very few properties that welcome dog. Comes with a nice backyard for a pup to stretch. The hot tub by the river under the stars was a perfect way to recover after a long day."
