Nestled between the Corbières Mountains, the garrigue landscapes, and the Mediterranean coastline, Roquefort-des-Corbières is ideally situated for exploring the many facets of the Aude region. Just a 15-minute drive away, the beaches of Port-la-Nouvelle, La Palme, and Leucate offer the chance to enjoy the seaside and water sports. Nature lovers can explore the many hiking trails that criss-cross the landscapes of the Corbières and the coastline. The Sigean African Reserve, the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée Regional Nature Park, the Bages and La Palme ponds, and Sainte-Lucie Island offer plenty of opportunities for outings with family or friends. The region is also known for its wine-growing: several wineries offer tours and tastings to introduce visitors to local wines and winemaking traditions.
