This is a great location very near the Spanish Steps and on a hopping touristy street. Lots of restaurants and shopping right outside. Of course, this comes with the street noise including an early morning garbage collection and street sweeping. It didn't bother us, and we had the window open. With the window closed (nice double glass window) we may not have even noticed. Only complaint is that the bathroom door was stuck open. Check-in and out was super simple and the hotel is an easy walk up on the second floor.

Great location at an affordable rate, a little dated with limited facilities, but we don't hang around the hotel, so no problem for us. Overall very happy and would recommend to those that prefer location and only use hotel to sleep in. It was very quiet considering location.

The rooms were small but adequate. The staff was PHENOMENAL, always friendly and quite helpful. Area is excellent, quite walkable (for those who can walk a few miles on uneven cobblestones, but that's part of visiting Rome in any case). Lots of nearby restaurant and shopping options.

Great budget stay.
We booked last minute, so we cannot complain. It was great budget stay, a bit out-dated decor but it was not an issue as we were there to explore. Hotel provided vouchers for breakfast at next door restaurant. It was amazing. Receptionists were friendly and polite. Great location, plenty of restaurants around. 30min walk to main tourist attractions.

The room was not so large but had an own characteristic with high and wooden ceiling as well with some Roman statutes. The room was quiet.

The hotel is in one of the best areas of Rome, quite near to the Piazza de Spagna and within the neighbourhood of restaurants and shoppings. Simple and affordable hotel, with very good (clean, confortable, with AC) rooms which is a wondeful opotion for those who want to visit Rome and not spend much time at the hotel :).

Location was excellent! Able to walk to most attractions. The lady at the front desk whose name I wish I remember, (she had worked there 23 years) was super helpful. She assisted getting luggage in the hotel, getting us a cab to the port and some recommendations. Just be ready to drag your bags a few feet because cab cannot take you to the door (which is true of most hotels in the area because streets are too narrow).

Location was amazing. Close to major sights, shopping and restaurants. Mattresses on the beds were perfect for a good night’s sleep. Receptionists always friendly and helpful. This is a small hotel and rated as 2 star but delivered everything we could have hoped for. We would definitely go back.

Warning!! This hotel does NOT allow you to turn the heat on in your room. Even when it is 36 degrees Fahrenheit outside. They control the heat starting at 6pm they turn it on but the turn it off in the middle of the night. I know there is a crisis with gas in Europe but this should be told to guests. I slept in 2 sweaters and a scarf.

You get what you pay for, the price is great and i was able to book last minute. What isn't great is the room is tiny, my legs were pressing against the shower door while on the privy. The room was also infested with ants.

Great hotel and staff!
This is an excellent hotel, I highly recommend it. It is close to all tourist attractions, to stores and restaurants. Public transportation is available, but you don't really need it. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. They have arranged for a taxi to the airport early in the morning, which can be challenging on a workday. If you are in Rome for experiencing the city, this is the hotel you want to book, at a very reasonable price, in a great location. It is a 2 star hotel, so don't expect anything luxurious, but it has everything you need in order to spend a great holiday in a great city!

We were staying one night, as a connection for our flight home to the US early July 18. I had a few filters/hotel features that we looked up when originally booking. The first being luggage storage, second airport shuttle, and third air conditioning. When we arrived we were in fact able to leave our luggage at the front desk, but it was in no manner secure but plainly put against the wall until we were able to check in three hours later. It was nice to leave our bags until check in, but seemed suspicious. We were able to request an airport shuttle for our early flight, for a flat rate of $55. We asked if it needed to be cash or if we could pay with card and we’re told they did not have that information. Next morning, after being taken to the airport, we were told cash only, $60 and there was an ATM inside. Lastly, the room was dreadfully hot. The AC wall unit read 16• C. But it did not cool down the entire night. My husband and I physically moved the bed directly in motion of the airflow, slept with our heads at the foot of the bed, and dampened pillow cases to lay on our heads for the night. Overall, the service was alright, and the room was clean, but the features were below standard.

Their twin room is very small. I had nowhere to put my luggage where it fits except between the opposite wall of the door and the door and I had to jump over it to go to the washroom. The other staff was not friendly. The elevator was in the 2nd floor, it’s hard to get to the stairs if you have big luggages.

The room was small but the beds were comfortable. This is a very good option if you just need a place to lay your head. Our room had a small upstairs with a single bed, which was perfect for my mother-in-law. The double bed on the main floor was firm but comfortable for us. Some street noise below, but nothing a good pair of earplugs cannot handle. The room was clean and everything worked. The shower had good water pressure and the sink area had plenty of space to organize toiletries. The appeal is the location. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance, including the Vatican (30 minutes), and the neighborhood is safe and has lots of enticing dining options and a Carrefour market. I recommend asking the staff for dining recommendations, as the quality of the many restaurants varies. We had a bad experience at the restaurant immediately adjacent to the hotel, and our receptionist gave me good advice on how to get my 17 Euros reimbursed for a miscellaneous charge on the bill that I was told was a tax (it wasn't). I got the money back and the next evening we went to a restaurant suggested by the same receptionist and had a wonderful meal at a reasonable price without any deceptions or hassles.

Very uncomfortable and disappointing stay.
The positive: Great central location in the heart of Rome, one block from the Spanish Steps. Staff was pleasant. The negative: This “hotel” is basically a hostel…. We booked the large quadruple unit in May, 2022. Rome was HOT and although the listing claims there was air conditioning, they did not allow one to use the a/c - it was centrally controlled -because it was not yet summer!! Not even a fan! The unit was TINY and had no space to sit. Just one wooden chair in a corner by the window, which overlooked a Very Noisy street. We could not close the single small window due to the heat and could not stand the noise from the restaurant and street performers below. There was nowhere to store clothing. The beds were hard as a rock. The two single beds upstairs in the “loft” were more like roll aways then complete twin size beds. Very uncomfortable and narrow steps up to the loft. The bathroom was tiny and the shower is uncomfortably narrow. I would only recommend this spot is you want location and don’t care about comfort AT ALL. I will never return to this hotel.

Hello , We are so sorry for all the problems, why didn't you come to the reception and ask us to change your room? We didn't know it was that hot as the window was closed for the noise. If you just come and tell us the situation, we will do something, give you a fan or change you to in a quiet room. I am very sorry for that.

Special place with a special manager!
We actually stayed at Hotel Okapi, Panda’s sister hotel. It was fantastic! We (2 daughters and son in law) were in Rome to celebrate my daughter’s 40th birthday. Anda went above and beyond to make it special. Cake, champagne, decorated our room, etc. The hotel is on a quiet street in a great location near Piazza Del Popola. Air conditioning worked great, water and coffee available near the lobby. Very secure too! I highly recommend this small hotel!!

Ok hotel for the price
Pro: Good location to walk to many sites, also only a couple blocks from the Metro stop, area seems safe, lots of restaurants right out side your door, shared toilets and showers were kept clean. Con: shared toilets and showers (but I had a sink in my room), dark and dingy hallways, outside doors weren’t always keep closed like they should have been. To get here from the Airport, take a train or the cheaper bus to the main train station (Terminni), then take the Metro 2 or 3 stops to the Spanga station, hotel is about 2 1/2 block walk from there.

The location was absolutely wonderful, close enough to walk to many attractions and interesting shops and restaurants. The building was beautiful. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The shower could have been a little cleaner. The room was a little warm, but I did not use the air conditioner that was available to me, just the open window.

Cute, affordable hotel in an excellent location
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Panda. At first, I was upset that the Wi-Fi wasn't working in my room, but the staff was very helpful in resolving that issue :) Also, the room wasn't big, but it was just enough space for everything that I needed. And the location was absolutely perfect for exploring all the nearby sights of Rome! I would stay here again.

I recommend for everyone Need Economy Hotel Clean and proper. first of all the staff more than excellent ,customer service is more than excellent . location is perfect Hotel, Room clean, area all are great . The hotel is only part of an old residential building and the intercom is used for entry (the employee is available 24 hours very excellent). We arrived 4 hours before the check-in time . But they welcomed us and received all the bags and kept them .. At the time of check-in the room was ready and the bags were placed inside the room. the problems ( not Serious and not for general, but it may bother some cases) 1- The bags are carried in 2 high floors of 3 floors and no bill man service 2-If there is a difficulty in using the stairs. There is an important note to use the elevator must use the stairs for 1/2 floor up and then land a 1/2 floor to get the entrance ( 3- and it was only our problem There is no refrigerator so we can’t keep could water or Juices and light meals in the room . And no kettle or coffee maker on the room But in general I I enjoyed the trip and the area
