We could open our window and see the Parthenon, which felt amazing. The square outside and all the surrounding restaurants and shops were perfect and lovely and beautiful. The central Rome location was perfect - we could walk everywhere, and yet we weren't on busy streets. Our room was small but it hardly mattered once we opened our window onto the square and could see and hear the ambiance of Rome.

Our location is very convenient and it allows you to reach easily on foot all the major sites of Rome. The direct view of the Pantheon from the windows is a plus that our rooms in the main building offer and it is quite unique. The double rooms with Pantheon view are 17 square meters and the Junior Suite with Pantheon view is 20 plus square meters. The area is full of nice restaurants, shops, cafes to enjoy at every time of the day and our front desk is pleased to suggest some that are good. The breakfast is served everyday from 7.30 to 10:30 in a local restaurant a few steps from the hotel in the lovely Piazza Capranica and we are also able to organise take away packages for the ones who leave early for departure of for a tour. Positives:- The best thing was the view (looks similar to the photos) Great views of the Pantheon. Negatives:- 1. My room looked nothing like these photos, it was very tired with following issues:- 2. My room was on 4th floor, up a tight spiral staircase with no lift, so beware if have mobility issues. 3. On arrival into the room, the toilet wouldn't flush so they had to do temporary fix taking Face plate off - resulted in it trying to re-fill all night. 4. The electric black out blind fell off from the wall on one side when put down, so it was very light all night due to the street lights. 5. You couldn't keep windows open as room looked out onto Pantheon with many people walking around/in restaurants so noisy until 12am. 6. Had noise disturbance from room next door. There was a groupp of men shouting and slamming doors. As a lone female I didn't want to confront them, or go downstairs to reception , so rang the hotel number on their pad (as couldn't find details re the Number to ring on hotel phone ( it was 12 Midnight) but no-one answered making me feel very vulnerable. I wouldn't recommend the room I was staying in, so worth checking you are in a refurbished one. - I won't be staying here again.

Also the doors of all our rooms were renovated last year and are completely soundproof.We apologize for the inconvenience of the lift. We are in the phase of renovating it. However, we do have our porter staff that are available all day to help you with luggage or anything you need in the room. Hotel was clean and staff were very pleasant, accommodating and responsive Great location. We stayed on the annex, executive suite. Very safe. There were 3 doors we needed to unlock to get to our room which was fine with us. Walkable to all the major sites of Rome. Very enjoyable stay. Would definitely go back!

Is a great old place with modern rooms. The Anex building can you a bit more cleaning in the common areas. Breakfast at the cafeteria is boring, it doesn’t change. I will skip it a buy my own that way you do t get de same menu with little options. Over all is nice an staff is very warm an attentive.

The location is convenient and we had a nice view of the pantheon from your room. However we found hairs in our sheets two nights in a row. Even after asking for the bedding and linens to be changed. We then had to change our sheets ourselves. There were also old stains on some of the towels.

Prime Location in Rome!
This hotel is in a great area, the Pantheon is right across from the hotel, the Trevi Fountain is a couple minutes away, and the colosseum is also in walking distance. The area is very busy, there are people everywhere, but you are also so close to lots of stores & restaurants. The area is busy but the room was extremely quiet, we weren't bothered at all by the noise in the area. Our room was in the annex building and it felt like our own private apartment. The room was clean and it had everything we needed for our 1 night stay in Rome. The front desk staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location was perfect for everything we needed to see in Rome.

We love the hotel service, staff, and room quality. They were quick to provide us a wheelchair for my disabled child, arranged a taxi service, and and even packed our family breakfast to-go for our return flight. Our only comment would be that this is not the hotel if you need elevator access to the ground floor. Other than that, Hotel Abruzzi gave us the best accommodation experience in Rome. Their service is top notch! Already recommended to my friends.

Great area to be in. Right by the Pantheon. Easy to walk anywhere. Felt safe. Voucher given for breakfast. We enjoyed it. Surprisedly, by way of its location, it was pretty quiet at night. Closed windows shut out most ‘nightly clean up’ noises. Taxi lineup just across the way making it easy to get to the train or the airport!

Nice hotel, NO elevator for customers. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room and common areas were very clean. View was amazing out the windows. Even tho we were on the corner of a busy square the hotel has high quality windows to block out the noise. No subway stops near hotel.

Excellent hotel next to Pantheon
The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the middle of Piazza della Rotunda. We had two windows, one looking at the pantheon and rotunda, and the other overlooking the entire piazza and pantheon. The room was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The service was excellent. It’s right in the middle of many restaurants and shopping. The only thing that would’ve been nice would’ve been an elevator for customers to use, as we had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs every time. Otherwise, everything was excellent, we loved it and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend Hotel Abruzzi.

Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Staff so caring and helpful. You won’t be disappointed. Do take note if you are challenged by stairs that there is a flight that is necessary to climb to get to an elevator. It was absolutely no problem for me but I could see others having an issue if not aware before booking.

The Abruzzi is a relatively small hotel located across a piazza from the Pantheon. It’s a tad noisy because of that, but its location is very convenient for many sites in central Rome. Lots of restaurants around (we went to the one nearest several time). Breakfast is not in the hotel, but in a restaurant a short walk away. The food and service there were excellent— especially the cornetti. On top of all of this, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent service.

Excellent hotel for location and comfortable rooms but the staff is what makes it perfect. All the staff (front desk, valet and housekeeping) always willing to help. Great personalized service. The only drawback for some people could be going up set of stairs to 1st. floor to get to the elevator. Staff brings your luggage to room.

The most important thing about this hotel was the staff. They were outstanding-helpful, kind, they went out of their way to make sure our stay was excellent. They even arranged breakfast to be packaged up for our 5:30 am taxi (which they also expertly arranged). The room was clean, it was a great location (although very busy with many crowds), great dining options nearby, it was a very good stay. A big thank you to all the staff who were so understanding and helpful. My husband left his (expensive) knee brac in the room and before we even got home they had sent an email to ask if we wanted them to send it to us. Oustanding.

Location 5/5 Staff and service 5/5 Cleaness of our room 2/5. We found our pillow cover dirty and hairs on our bed sheet. We also killed one bed bug on our pillow cover. We slept with lights on and still my wife suffered from three bites. We understand bed bugs are hard to control, however, bed cover should be replaced with clean sheets. The staff was quite accommodating of our situation.
