The only hotel close to Conche to see the French Shore Interpretation Centre. Hotel and area have a boiled water advisory! Hotel website says it has licensed restaurant for complimentary breakfast and available for dinner. Restaurant has been closed since covid! coffee shop at the gas station for breakfast. One restaurant for dinner down the road which was ok. Would never stay there again

The best thing about this hotel is that it’s next door to a gas station.

The site noted breakfast included but once there a notice at check in stated no breakfast. Expedia needs to remove the breakfast included note. That was a reason I stayed there

Very poor internet when we could get it. T v didn’t work. No condiments like other cabins.
Staff was incredibly helpful and kind; our room on the 2nd floor was beautiful and much nicer than your average hotel room--we loved the decor and cozy feel!

The primary attraction of the Mayflower Inn is that it exists. It was not until I arrived that I learned their kitchens were closed and the dining room was off limit to guests. The continental breakfast was marginally acceptable, the selection was fairly limited, which isn't unusual for a c.b. but the coffee pot was empty and appeared to have been for quite some time. Other guests had left dishes on the tables that hadn't been bused.
The facilities themselves are rustic, to be generous, dated to be fair. Visible putty work on the molding was more distracting than the nail heads that the putty was hiding. There are no substantial amenities and the hunting lodge mentality is apparent. Though my expectations were tempered by the idea of staying in a fairly isolated community, the price did dictate my overall impression of value here.
Guest internet access was spotty at best and cut out frequently. There are a number of open networks and no instruction on check in on which ones are for guest use. It was possible to check email or upload a few pictures, but VOIP or streamed video were impossible during my visit.
The bathrooms at least feature a full tub and were impeccably clean. Any critique of this location should not reflect on the cleaning staff in any way, shape or form.
If you are hunting and need a place to stay, or part of a road crew who doesn't want to sleep in the truck, this is your place. A good value at 80/night but you'll begrudge every extra dollar.

Not great servce
We were told that the dining room was closed when we checked in early in the evening. When we went to another restaurant we were told that there was a boil water advisory in the town but nothing had been said at the hotel. There was no notice in the room and no bottled water was made available. The desk clerk assured us that the water was fine when we asked her about this information but that did not make us feel any better. The room was clean but the lack of information re the water situation turned us off.

It was ok
When we arrived the Inn did not have our reservation...luckily they were not full so we got a room. The price quoted on Expedia was last years price, so we were told...however she did honor the quoted price. We found it expensive given the condition of the Inn but there was not a lot of choice in the area. Overall it was just ok.

Older hunting and fishing lodge
Older lodge with very basic but clean rooms. No staff at reception - key and information left in envelope for us but that was ok! Very basic continental breakfast set out in dining room. Be aware that the dining room no longer serves lunch or dinner even though the website says it does. Very limited meal options near by - a coffee shop, convenience store and one small restaurant with limited hours. Fridge and coffee maker in room.

Best available in Roddickton
Great staff, rooms very dated, but clean.
Didn't have our reservation though????
We decided to go to Roddickton to see moose as it considers itself the "moose capital". We looked early in the morning and at dusk to no avail. We went on many drives in hopes of seeing some. We did not see one moose in the two days we were there. Very disappointing. We were in cabin number 3 which is attached to number 2. This was fine as there was no noise. The cabin itself was extremely basic. The television was in the kitchen outside the washroom door. The couch was cheap and uncomfortable. I guess they do Adventure tours from there but we saw no indication of that. I have no idea what the motel rooms are like. Perhaps they are nicer. The continental breakfast was cereal , toast, coffee, tea, juice and tired looking fruit!
