Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cedar Springs – Grand Rapids N by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was wonderful. The one problem there was, and it didn't have anything to do with the staff. There were people above us that were running and pounding sound. I were wager they were kids. If you take your kids to a hotel CONTROL them. Especially if there are people below you. If you are an adult doing this, you know better, I would hope. I did not complain, I was just to tired. Everything and everybody were wonderful. Their breakfast was amazing. I will definitely stay here again, if I am down this way. Thank you for a wonderful time."
"Way too expensive for what you get. No pool. Extremely loud, makes it tough to sleep. Light coming in from below the door didn’t help. Not really a continental breakfast, nothing left to eat at 9:30am"
"Quaint inn. Clean, comfortable room. Small continental breakfast but adequate. Coffee maker and refrigerator in room. Parking adequate, but can be crowded in the evenings from the bar/restaurant.
Enjoyed stay"
Private dock on large, spring-fed lake with kayaks
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, comfortable property! It was the perfect combination: felt like an "old school" family Cottage--- but with upgrades to the bathrooms, kitchen, and entire downstairs, that made it comfortable for what we expect in 2026. We loved the giant screened in porch, and the landing (on the way to the lake) with the rocking chairs… We were there at the very beginning of May, so it was breezy and kind of cool, and being able to be up on the porch and protected from the wind made the porch an awesome place for morning coffee, or dinner. The dock hadn't been put out, yet, but around dusk I sat down on the bottom steps, and saw all sorts of small wildlife. We felt far away from everything, yet drove only an hour to the tulip festival, in Holland, which was the purpose of our trip… And then spent a delightful afternoon at the Chihuly exhibit, at the Meijer Botanical Gardens, 1/2 hr away, in Grand Rapids.Suggestions: If you don't want to be up at sunrise, bring sleep masks; the upstairs bedrooms are very bright, as soon as the sun is up… There is no grocery store nearby, just a convenience store, and a really great ice cream/lunch place; you may want to come prepared with the bulk of your food… We were there during spring cleanup, and there was a tremendous amount of leaf blower noise, from the Neighbors. (On Saturday and Sunday it was about 3 to 4 hours each day!… Only about an hour each day on the weekdays.) We would go again to this great place, but not on a w/e in early May!"
"This place was very unkept and dirty throughout the property. We had ants all over the inside of the house crawling throughout. Many cobwebs were also seen. The shower had mold/mildew in a lot of the grout and the bathtub drain was dirty from previous use. The outside of the property had not been cleaned up in quite some time. The description leads you on to believe that it is actually waterfront and you have quick access to the lake. However, it’s across the street and there isn’t available access unless you find the public areas. There are several descriptors used to highlight amenities that is completely false. I had to ask to get check in instructions and didn’t receive those until 30 mins prior to when we could check in. The host was not very responsive to questions and the overall experience was extremely terrible. I tried contacting the host about our experience and never got a message back. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. This isn’t worth paying any amount of money for."
Lake Forest Cottage - Dog Friendly w/ Hot Tub, Firepit and Kayaks
10/10 Excellent
"Everything about our stay was fantastic. Communication with the host was excellent and responses were extremely quick and detailed. My only two suggestions on improvements would be to install room-darkening blinds in the bedroom as it gets quite bright even with them closed, and also to move the hot-tub cover to the other side so that the view from the woods is not obstructed from the tub and that you aren't staring at the neighbor's windows.Thank you for the fantastic stay, would absolutely stay again."
