Great Hocking Hills Getaway!

The Hillside Lodge is so great! Clean and the owners are so helpful. The layout and rooms were just perfect - it was our family of 9 and we fit comfortably and had the best time! The outside area made the best retreat after hiking all day!

Family Vacation

This was our second time staying at the Hillside Lodge over the Christmas holidays. The cabin was spacious and comfortable for 12 adults. The great room and dining room both had ample seating for all. Location was great as well in the Hocking Hills region. We were about a 20 minute drive from all the major parks and trails.

Family weekend getaway

We had a great time on our weekend getaway. We had 7 adults and we enjoyed the table space to play games. We also really enjoyed the outdoor space. We used the hot tub, fire pit and the green space around the house for a bucket golf tournament over the weekend.

Cousins Retreat

This property is perfect for our yearly retreat. The dinning table is our hub with eating, games, crafting and lots of laughs. The beds are comfortable and everyone has their own space to sleep. We love it so much we booked again for next year.

Awesome place!

We had a group of 7 friends staying here for a 30th birthday celebration and the place was perfect! Loved how spacious the kitchen and family room were - the big, long tables and the big sectional couch made it so nice to have us all hanging together in the same area. Hot tub was awesome as well as the fire pit area. It was nice to have Kroger and Walmart less than 10 minutes away, and great hiking trails less than 20 mins away. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better stay! We will be back!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our children and grandchildren in this beautiful cabin. Plenty of room for everyone. We loved the large family room, kitchen and large dining room and extra large dining table. Beautiful area and easy to find and close to many things. Was perfect for little ones.

Great Cabin!

This cabin was perfect for our family reunion. Loved that it offered 4 separate bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, so no one had to sleep on a pull out sofa or twin. Cabin was super clean and had plenty of space for all of us to spread out. Could use brighter lights over kitchen counter space, and a dimmer switch for dining room, but otherwise we had a great stay. Would highly recommend to others.

Grad weekend getaway

Beautiful home that was well stocked with needed kitchen items. Wonderful for large families to sit together enjoying meals and playing games! Living room was another warm gathering location! Weather did not cooperate for outdoor entertaining but it was yet another welcoming option. Would highly recommend this home!

Perfect for Multi-generational Family

We had eight family members from 17-87. The house was well suited for our needs. The kitchen was well-stocked, having some unique items (great glass storage containers and multiple crock pots). There was Plenty of cupboard space for groceries. The living room was separate from the other open areas, making it a great place for late nights or early mornings, allowing others to sleep. Everything was very clean. Good water quality and pressure. We would definitely rent here again.

Hiking heaven

This was the perfect getaway cabin rental for our large family. Not only was the hostess, extremely accommodating, the place was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in, the beds were incredible, everything was as it looked in the pictures. It was better than we ever hoped for! The family room is perfect for entertaining or for large groups, and the large dining room table was perfect not only for eating, but for playing board games, and doing crafts. The hiking trails were incredible and it was a beautiful, beautiful area. We definitely would go back there again .

So close to fabulous

Fantastic location and set up. Good layout for family get together, nice outdoor area as well. However, outdoor furniture cushions had NO cushion to them, and were extremely faded and dirty, umbrella was broken but functions, no sound dampening at all, you can hear everything in rooms with shared walls and anyone in the common areas while in the bedrooms with doors shut, Hot Tub quit working during stay.

Fabulous February weekend!

Had a great weekend with friends. Everything was clean and well communicated with the operation of the facilities. We got a snowfall the night we arrived and the owner texted and messaged the next morning that someone would be on property to clear the snow on the steep driveway and walking paths around the cabin. Location is decently close to the area attractions while still being secluded. Would definitiely recommend!

Great group destination

Cabin was immaculate and had GREAT group seating options which is something we really wanted- for everyone to have somewhere to sit and be able to all hang out together. The kitchen is very updated and large, there was tons of room for all our stuff. It was nice that we could control the temperature in 2 different spots since the house is larger. We appreciated having lots of kitchen items available to use as well as plenty of towels for showers! Great location- about 20min drive to Old Man’s Cave, 9 mins from a Kroger. Only negative things I noticed were the water pressure in the hallway shower was pretty low and there seemed to be a million and one light switches needed to turn lights on in the bigger rooms; as well as some of the light bulbs were more harsh lighting compared to others. The WiFi was decent for being in such a wooded/hilly area but I wouldn’t expect to be able to “work from home” off it. Since it was a rainy weekend we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor seating areas, fire pit, or hot tub but they looked great! We would definitely stay here again!!
