"So this is a tough review because I did not do my homework and didn’t realize where I was going. These are homes and maybe an old church converted to hotel rooms with the idea of being used for retreats, such as a marriage retreat. So pros: spectacular, hiking, extremely pleasant staff, very clean and a five star breakfast! Cons: this is not a hotel, so there are not amenities in the road, such as refrigerators or televisions. Overall, totally worth it! The castle is spectacular. "

"Cutest little bike lodge! So much character and charm. There was yoga going on in the bar when I arrived for check in. Guests out on their bikes and walking the property (which is strung with lights and feels like stepping back into a better time). It was a quick stay for me, sadly - so I didn’t get to experience the live music or other events on property. Recently remodeled room - extremely spacious. It is an OLD (like historic) facility - so it’s not the feel of new construction. But it would lose its vibe if it was. Definitely recommend! I’ll be back! "

"This was my favorite Vrbo I’ve ever booked :) We were honestly worried about “sharing a wall” and kind of wanted an entire place to ourselves, but we ended up booking due to the price, location, and being 420 friendly. We had an AMAZING stay. I can’t recommend this place enough. The host is incredibly friendly and willing to give awesome recommendations. It is so clean, checkin and checkout is great (she just wanted us to enjoy our vacation), and we barely knew she was there and we didn’t feel like a bother to her either. The patio was our favorite space and we loved the lights and the vibe. Definitely coming back. Thank you for an awesome stay Kimberly!!!!"

"Truly this vacation home was perfection for our 4-night stay in the area. I give it a rave review! It’s a lovely home and spacious. We found it clean and in perfect working order. The first evening there were a few deer outside the back fence, just fun to see for all ages and especially us city dwellers. As advertised it is located a short walk from an entrance to Garden of the Gods - the location was superb for the activities we wanted to do. Another feature I liked was ample drawer storage in each bedroom. Well done Garden of the Gods Retreat, you get A from us. "

"This property is attractive and well-equipped, but beware the downstairs tenants are not friendly. There are multiple messages (one of which was left outside by the neighbors) warning guests that 10 pm to 8 am is quiet time and informing us that every footstep can be heard. Those messages along with the cameras facing the hot tub made us feel uncomfortably monitored. At one point, my teenage son got out of bed too loudly to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and the neighbors started pounding on our floor, waking us up. Note: There is zero carpeting in his room, so the owners have done little to solve this problem on their end. Overall, I would not return and I can’t recommend this apartment. "

"The mountain ciew is awesome. Short walk to Garden of the Gods. Close to Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City. We did not have to drive more than 5 min in any direction to do everything we were looking forward to."
