"If you want a true Italian family experience then a stay at BnB La Mortella is the answer. We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. "If you plan to visit the ancient ruins at Paestum, then this hotel is the place to stay. We visited in week 41 - and enjoyed listening to the sound of the sea through the open door to the nice balcony, which had amazing view over Salerno bay with the Amalfi coast and Capri on the horizon. Great breakfast and dinner served by helpful and friendly staff. "

"This hotel has superb facilities, spa, pools, party/meeting rooms.What is deficient, is the information available to guests. The room we were in had no hotel directory, printed or on TV. The restaurant is not well advertised, the menu is not available in the rooms. Same for the room service menus for the restaurant or the bar. Could also use the Express checkout system."

"Very secure, gated property with beach access. Very friendly and helpful staff (family) did everything they could to make our short stay perfect. The rooms are big, bright and well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Lovely continental buffet breakfast. We didn't use the Spa facilities. A short drive to Paestum archaeological site, and also local shops and restaurants. "
