When is the best time to go to River Road?

The best time to go to River Road depends on the activities you're hoping to enjoy, with late spring through early autumn offering the most pleasant weather for outdoor pursuits. For those keen on water activities like rafting, kayaking, and paddleboarding on the McKenzie River, the months of June, July, and August are ideal. The river levels are typically good, and the weather is warm and sunny, superb for spending a day on the water. This period is also excellent for fishing, with various species active in the river. If hiking and cycling through the lush Willamette National Forest are your priority, then May, September, and early October offer cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. The trails are generally drier, and the autumn colours can be quite scenic in September and October.

"Love this place! Clean, great service, and excellent amenities!"

Comfortable cozy 3 bedroom 2 bath with WiFi, & AC centrally in beautiful Eugene

10/10 Excellent

"Very cozy and clean property. Fantastic quiet back yard to chill out. Each bedroom had a different styles mattress so you could choose your comfort level which was a nice surprise. The showers had phenomenal pressure and height which was nice for a taller individual. The nearby park is very welcome with beautiful strolls. Would highly recommend this property and look forward to renting again on future visits to Eugene."

Birdhouse: country living close to everything

10/10 Excellent

"The stay here at the Birdhouse was a quiet respite from the normal business of everyday life. Smaller space accommodates 1-2 people fairly comfortably plus the patio area. A park-like setting with a sense of rural living made our stay memorable. Thank you to our hosts!"
