"Daniele, the owner, is a perfect Italian gentleman. He was very helpful and informative during our short stay at his beautiful villa. He reserved us a great spot at Sottovento restaurant in Lierna for dinner. It was a few minutes walk away. The common sitting areas are very comfortable and spacious. And breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit, croissant and fresh jams. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Great experience. One caution - if you drive only small to medium sized cars can get up the small driveway to the property. However, it’s only 50m from the main road so not a problem if you need to park and walk in to property. "
"This was a magnificent find! Very small and quaint, with exceptional service. It is off the beaten path, and about 15 minute walk from crowded, bustling Bellagio. Much of the hike is uphill and on stairs, so beware of carrying luggage. Taxis are hard to find, and our host was kind enough to drive us to an early ferry upon departure (for a fee). Definitely recommend a room with a balcony. We didn’t include breakfast, but added a couple during our stay. Lovely to have in the garden, but pretty pricey. This was an oasis, and the extra steps justified more gelato!"
